The Heights: This place is awful! My mother was there until we moved her into hospice. Wanted $12000. a month. I said no since my dad was self paying, so they said $8000. would be fine. When my mother wanted to use the bathroom I went to get the nurse who informed me she's on a "schedule" and it wasn't time! They leave the residents in dirty diapers. All my mom's clothes were missing, even though I labeled all of them. No showers, my mom had bed sores so bad they got infected. Take a good smell when you walk in!! We only put her in here because it's a mile from my dad, who drove to see her every day. Now my dad went into a nursing home. We put him in Pearlview Care Center. Each patient gets his own room and bathroom. Clean, smells nice! My dad was very happy here. They took wonderful care of my dad. Sadly he passed too.

My Uncle is 72 and competent, he lives here and has a bariatric bed. I didnt have alot of options of places I could choose. I am extremly unhappy. Most of the staff do not care. If there is a problem I am told they are unaware and then they still do nothing. Since Nov of 2015 I have been trying to get them to put sheets on his bed. His bed is vinyl and more then once he has been stuck to it, to the point where his skin was almost removed trying to get him off. I have had a care meeting, the social worker has spoken to the head nurse twice, I have spoken to the unit manager. Then I spoke with Caron the administrator who says she ordered them. 3 wks later he still did not have sheets on his bed. I spoke with her again. That was a wk ago, still no sheets. Today is Jan 27 2016. Tomorrow I have to go in there and speak to her again. If they are this neglectful of basic needs to someone who is fully competenant, can you imagine how bad it would be for someone who cant speak for themselves?
