My mom was only there 3 months. She tried to "escape" and therefore had to leave as per The Havens rules. These rules were told to me upfront. I moved her to another facility which had a lockdown unit. The staff and faculty were amazing. Always helpful and courteous. I loved her being there. The place was clean and anyone there would help with anything. I was impressed and very happy with The Havens.... Read more

Response from The Havens at Princeton
October 8, 2024Thank you for taking the time to leave us a 5-star review! We are thrilled to hear that your mother is thriving in our community. Our residents' happiness and safety are our top priority, and we are delighted that your mother is enjoying her time here. If there is anything else we can do to improve her experience, please do not hesitate to reach out. We appreciate your feedback and look forward to continuing to provide exceptional care and support to your mother.
Quality and selection of food is not great. Medication is left in residents room and up to them to take,or not, at their discretion. Then residents are told to purchase and administer over the counter meds on their own. Medication management is the main reason that my parents needed assisted living. Other than those two things, the facility is clean and well maintained. Administrative staff is good, but there seems to be a lot of turnover with nursing staff.

My father is no longer there though. But we love The Havens. . Excellent experience. Very clean. Incredible staff. Very genuine. Wonderful quality of care. The staff was always attentive. With the meals, there was something good every day my dad would say! . A lot to do and everyone participates, nice areas for activities. Value for cost - our only issue. We moved in at a good cost and in less than a year the amount went up and that amount didn't include the room fee yet. We had to move my father out of a wonderful place as we could not afford the increase, especially since he hadn't been there a full year yet. This is an incredible place, wonderful people to care for your loved ones. Clean and beautiful. If you can afford the care it is a 5 rate, however be aware of unexpected rate increases.

May 30, 2024Hi Heather, Thank you so much for your detailed and heartfelt review. We are delighted to hear that you had such a positive experience with our community. We wish you and your father all the best and appreciate the time you took to share your experience.
This facility is a really nice place, I can't say enough about it. My Dad really loves it here. At first, he thought it was just going to be a safe place to stay, but it feels like home to him now. During our tour we were able to talk to some of the residents and their families, they all had nothing but positive things to say. All of the residents love it here. We felt a connection to this facility immediately. The staff is very friendly and cautious, they keep up with things. The activities are amazing. Dad loves the food. He eats more here than he did at home! The cost is also great, especially for the quality of care. You won't find better quality of care anywhere else. I would definitely recommend this facility to family and friends.

Response from The Havens at Princeton
February 9, 2023Thank you so much for this wonderful review! It truly makes us proud as we always strive to offer the best care and environment for our residents and support for families. We're so happy to be able to offer your dad the lifestyle and care he deserves, and it's been an absolute pleasure getting to know him.
We chose The Havens at Princeton because it was in a very nice quiet neighborhood and close to areas that my mother felt comfortable. I do think they could provide bigger portions on the meals and they could have a better variety of activities for the residents. I would definitely recommend to others looking.

We chose The Havens because she needed more personalized care and where she was at they did not do that. The staff are so eager to help your loved one and to guide you to resources and we really appreciate that. We moved her from another county and they were a big help to me as well. I think they could ask for the residents opinions on the food more often. I would definitely recommend to others looking.

The Havens is a beautiful home for loved ones who need some assistance. The rooms are spacious and can be decorated to suit the resident. The staff is wonderful-friendly, caring, helpful, and seem to truly enjoy their jobs. They treat the residents like family. It is clean and well-maintained indoors and out. There is a courtyard and there are sidewalks for strolling around the building. The meals are very good. Because of dietary restrictions and sensitive systems, there is not a lot of salt or heavy seasonings, but I have found with a little salt and pepper everything is delicious. There is PT onsite as well as monthly visits onsite by a local physician. A podiatrist comes every other month. There is a little beauty shop. It really feels like an apartment complex more than an assisted living facility. I hope when I reach the point in my life where living at home is no longer a safe option that I will be able to find a place like this for myself. Our family has no complaints with the care our loved one is receiving at The Havens.

We toured this community. We were happy with the manager here. The friendliness of the staff. The community is clean and I did like the look of the community. The layout of the rooms was very nice. They do offer activities for those who want to participate. I recommend other families to see the great care that is given here for a loved one.

This community was one of our top choices for my loved one, the building was beautiful and well maintained with pleasant surroundings. The pricing was also very reasonable for the apartments and the amenities that came with it.
