My husband and I moved here when we found maintaining the home we loved was more than we wanted to do. The Glen welcomed us and we felt at home. We were happy and comfortable. My husband's health was failing and he died before our first year was over. Again, the people at The Glen helped and supported me. My life has been filled with support, friendship, and caring. This is a good place to be.
My experience at the Glen has been very positive. I have a lovely apartment, interesting friends. I feel safe here. The staff is friendly and helpful. My family does not have to worry as they know I am happy and safe. The grounds and interior are well taken care of. This has been the right decision for me.
When my husband and I moved here a few years ago he was not at all well and both our neighbors and staff treated him and accepted him so well. After his death everything just fell in place so easily. I continued to enjoy the company of the residents and all the activities immensely. It is a fact and the truth that we become a family. I invited one and all to come see for yourself.
Moving to the Glen a year ago freed me of all the responsibilities associated with home ownership - the staff are kind and caring and will help you with anything you need done - there are numerous activities to keep you busy, if you are interested. Dining with friends everyday is a wonderful way to stay sociable during Covid. We are building new apartments, a memory center and a wellness (exercise) center with a pool. We're also pet friendly, a big plus!!
The Glen is an outstanding community that has its own very special culture. The management team and employees are knowledgeable, competent, helpful and friendly. They are incredibly accommodating to each resident’s needs. The work they do gives us a safe, clean, and well-maintained place in which to live. The residents are very welcoming to new people and that comradery and caring makes each day special. The daily activities keep the mind active as well as the body. So glad my wife and I decided to come here. The new Memory Care building, the new larger apartments, and new exercise room and pool will make the facility even better.

I moved to the Glen when I was able to do all the work and make decisions for myself – selling my home, downsizing, packing, and organizing my belongings. I am also able to benefit from any activities here at the Glen as well as my regular activities outside the Glen. The Glen is an independent living – a new apartment with many added benefits. I appreciate not cooking very often and being able to share meals with others. Exercise classes, concerts, and other activities (serious and fun) are all things to take part in as you wish. The staff (administration, waitress, maintenance, housekeeping) is wonderful and go out of their way to help in any way. Even with obstacles such as Covid – the Glen was a safe if not safer place to be. Although activities were limited in size they were not eliminated. Why wait – this is a place for active independent seniors!

My wife and I moved to the Glen just over four years ago and we have been extremely happy with our choice. The primary reason for coming here is the people: residents and staff. One cannot ask for better people to associate with on a day to day basis. The Staff is always willing to go above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we are happy, healthy and enjoying ourselves. We highly recommend this Community.

Have a sone here in Queensbury. Was alone in Phoenix, AZ. Felt I should be bear family. I'm from the area. I worked in NY for 40 years. The Glen has worked out well. They have great staff and try very hard to keep us comfortable and entertained. Very clean and fine dining.

I’ve been a resident of the Glen since May, 2018. I’m happy I chose the Glen to spend my remaining years. The facility is clean, well maintained and located in the Queensbury area close to medical, shopping and other conveniences. Dining is excellent and pleasant. There are daily activities to entertain the residents and a fitness room for exercising Above all, the staff is courteous, friendly and very helpful when need. Residents are like one big family. The best easy life I chose !

I have been here a month now and have been treated wonderfully by the staff and the fellow residents - moving here has been a very pleasant experience for me - it’s so wonderful to eat in the dining room every night and make new friends - there are also lovely covered porches so you can visit with new friends and enjoy fresh air, of course with social distancing !!! The Glen at Hiland Meadows has gone to every extreme to remain COVID-free and keep all of us safe - I couldn’t ask for more !!! I would certainly recommend The Glen to anyone who is considering moving to a Senior Community and the BEST part - my precious cat could move with me !!!

I already told and a friend and she has already moved in. The food has been ok because COVID, but it is getting better. My apartment is beautiful, and overlooks a little bit of woods. It is a nice view. There are a lot of activities for residents. Some include: games, exercise programs, and the library brings books to the residents.
