Response from The Gardens Assisted Living and Memory Care
October 17, 2024Thank you for your review. We are thrilled to hear that mom is settling in and making new friends. Our sittercise instructor is actually a resident as well. :) She love to lead that class every morning and always has 15 residents in there working on their strength and range of motion. Blessings, Lauren
It's good, clean and friendly. I would recommend to others.

Response from The Gardens Assisted Living and Memory Care
September 26, 2024Thank you so much for your kind words. We appreciate your family and the opportunity to serve you in this capacity!
They need to improve their admission policies and procedures. They said they would do X and then not do. They also had said she could live there before they reviewed all the documentation and denied her last minute. We had only a few days to find a new place to go due to termination notice we had already provided to the current facility. Beyond stressful for us, the family and my mom, and extremely disappointing.

Response from The Gardens Assisted Living and Memory Care
August 20, 2024Thank you for your comment. There are several pieces to every admission; an in-person assessment, physician's orders, and review of any clinical documentation we received from a healthcare provider. If there is a concern with any of these three steps, we might conclude that we cannot meet the needs of the potential resident. This does not happen often, and our ultimate goal is to set up a new resident to be successful. We sincerely hope that your loved one found the right community where they can thrive.
All the people at the Gardens have been wonderful. They are very well organized and have everything to make aove as smooth as possible. I have recommended this place to friends. They have also moved their family members to this facility.

Overall not bad. But i am a little disappointed. With physical therapy we had to request 4 or 5 times to get it started. Only 2 weeks did they start and still no schedule of upcoming therapy as requested

If your loved one has any behavior issues this is not the place for them. They are definitely way understaffed in my opinion. We explained my parents issues before they took them but they assured us they could handle those issues. 2 months later they told us they could not care for them after all and we had 30 days to find a new place. Most of the staff is really nice but some were unkind and kinda mean to the residents. I am sure the assisted living is nice but the memory care is only for those alzheimers patients that will follow rules....unfortunately my parent was not wanting to be a rule follower.

We were familiar with this community as my parents had been here before my father passed. Our tour was done very well and they took their time showing us around both the assisted living and the memory care for my mom. We felt that another community offered a better fit for the secured assisted living that way my mom would not have to go into the memory care just yet.

This was a very nice community when I visited. The people I met were nice. The community allows pets and seems to offer some nice activities. This community was a little more expensive than what we were looking for.

This is a wonderful place to live in deciding a place for your dear loved one. Not only do they care about the residents, they show it. It's beautifully decorated, clean, and it has such a homey feel. It's truly a home away from home. I highly recommend this facility for any family members that is looking.

The staff at The Gardens Assisted Living are great. The place is always clean and the meals they provide are very good. We like that her apartment has a full kitchen and separate bedroom. The place is very open and we are happy with our choice.

My one minor complaint is that there is not a physician that comes to the community. The residents have to have their own physicians come in. The food is good and they offer some activities. The staff are very good, competent and seem on top of things. The community is clean and well taken care of.

My parents were at the Gardens for respite care for only a week but I couldn't have had a better experience dealing with the Gardens. All the staff (Connie, Cara, Danielle, Jan) and others went above and beyond their expected duties. They made the experience so much easier than expected. The facility was super clean, the food was delicious too! I felt like I was in a restaurant with the quality and service.

We really liked the way this was set up. We liked the layout and where the nurses stations are, and how big and open it feels. This was a little less expensive, and a little closer to us, than some of the others. We like it, the staff is friendly, and it's clean. We don't seem to get complaints about food. We are pretty happy with them so far.

A Place for Mom has scored The Gardens Assisted Living and Memory Care 8.4 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
