The Contemporary

The Contemporary, an independent senior living community, opened in November 2022 in Miami, FL. Our staff has over 35 years of combined experience in Senior Living, and each member has knowledge and experience in all aspects of management. The Contemporary is managed by Charter Senior Living, a family-owned senior living organization with a successful record of providing high-quality lifestyles to seniors and their families. Founded in 2016, as a senior living operator, CSL is developing high-quality Independent Living, Assisted Living/Personal Care, and Memory Care for over 45 communities across the country.
The Contemporary holds the Silver Certificate from the NGBS National Green Building Standard.
The community is centrally located in the heart of the Westchester neighborhood in Miami-Dade County. It is convenient for many cultural and outdoor amenities. The Patricia and Phillip Frost Art Museum, which features rotating exhibits and tours, and the Stocker AstroScience Center, a fully equipped, modern observatory and research center, are less than 2 miles away on the Florida International University campus. For the outdoor enthusiast, Westchester’s Tropical Park offers many amenities, including miles of paved pathways, nature trails, a bark park, and picnic areas.
