The staff have no interest in my family. To me, living here is like living in an apartment building. There is no housekeeping available for the residents, only for hallways and public rooms. There are no meals anymore. The staff are few, but pleasant. There are lots of activities, ask for a monthly activity schedule. I would recommend this place only for a person who has his own support or doesn't need any.... Read more

Mom and dad have moved out and are back living on their own in Reno area. There was no care given, and no meals were offered. There were activities but not very many and the ones they have are repetitive. However, we would recommend this community to other families

They used to serve meals but has stopped before I became a resident. They stop feeding breakfast and dinner in a kitchen with new property managers from what I understand it all came to a halt so many of the seniors that need more help are moving out. There's a few activities I normally don't sign up for and they used to take them to places with a little bus but it broke down and they occasionally rent a bus and go to a local casino other than that there's not a lot there is crafts on Monday morning a pool table Wednesday happy hour sing along and someone that brings in thrift store items set them up I think once a month for people to rummage and purchase I really don't pay much attention to the offerings because they're nothing that I am very interested in although it's pretty looking out upon the center area there's a duck pond and ducks

I am currently a resident at The Atrium. I don't think that I would recommend this facility to others.
If a friend asked about community would say need a car. warm clothes keep temp cold in assembly area. Grounds very nice. I picked this community because of the price and you could have pets.

I picked this community becasue it was no waiting list. It is good, the staff and complete strangers are friendly and everyone gets along. Conversations with a people, that I've never met are easy and free flowing. The people here are intelligent and have interesting backgrounds.Everyone here has something to offer. Whether it's a friendship or helping hand.

My loved one is currently a resident at The Atrium at Carmichael and everything has been great for him at this facility! It's a great place. The move in process was so very easy. They do not serve meals or offer housekeeping, so that's something to note if you're looking for that for your loved one. However, if your loved one's are independent and looking for Independent Living this is a great facility.

The facility has changed immensely over the short time my mom has been there. No more food service, maid service, or activities. The price has gone up. Construction has been ongoing; loud, obtrusive, unsightly. Constant maintenance issues that take a long time to resolve. The staff does not assist with a neighbor who smokes cigarettes and pot next door.

When I moved into The Atrium at Carmichael in 2021, I would have rated this facility at a 5 across the board. At that time we had 24/7 friendly caring staff. That was taken away [date removed], we now have a desk person M-F 8 to 4, otherwise no one. They closed the dining room in February. The activities were reduced by half. There are no longer wellness checks. Pacifica has declared these as age 55 and up apartments. They also took away the housekeeping services and the emergency pull cords in each apartment. I would only recommend this facility for healthy working people under the age of 65.

Response from The Atrium at Carmichael
June 30, 2023Thank you for taking the time to leave this positive review! We value your feedback, and appreciate your kind words about The Atrium at Carmichael.
They say you can sit in the dining room and eat with friends but truth is they have a line of chairs blocking it so no one can get in! The direct quote from their website..”After a full day, sit down in the restaurant-style dining room for a delicious meal with friends” No way to treat seniors!!

My loved one is happy at The Atrium at Carmichael. She's eating, gaining weight and is happy with the environment. There are no complaints that I know of. It's important to note that I'm not in the same city, but she does seem to be settled in there.
The community is going through construction right now, so cleanliness has been a bit tough. The Atrium at Carmichael does have a comfortable family-feel. The dining could use some improvement, the food itself is not very good. My loved ones apartment is decent for a 1 bedroom, it has a small full kitchen and it's very comfortable. The community offers transportation to appointments and stores, but you do have to reserve that service in advance. They also allow pets.

They are in the middle of totally redoing the facility so there is piles of stuff everywhere, insects are coming inside, and it is just not very clean. I liked the sales gal that I worked with, but I think she was looking more to rent the place rather than make sure it was a good fit for me. There is very little parking and most spots are reserved. They do have a lift here, but it has never worked. I do not eat the food here anymore. They have a regular menu and an alternate menu and the meals are not the most nutritious. They do have a great pastry chef though. There has been a lot of change since I moved in. I think it is a good fit for some other people, but I have not been very happy with my experience so far.

This community is currently going through renovations. One of my loved ones biggest complaints is about the food. I would say to check this community out for you or your loved one. The staff are doing a decent job despite all of the changes that they are currently going through.

Response from The Atrium at Carmichael
October 27, 2021Hello, thank you for your positive review, we are grateful to see that you feel this way! We strive to provide excellent care and service to our residents and their families at The Atrium of Carmichael. Thank you again, we hope you have a wonderful day!
The staff members here have been very friendly, they know everyone's name and are greet us when we walk by them. They don't serve breakfast it is more like a continental breakfast, but the lunch and dinners are great. I do enjoy playing bingo, cards and going to the morning exercise classes. The cost is excellent, very affordable because it is month to month. The apartment here is perfect for me, I have a really nice patio.

We chose this facility because it was reasonably priced compared to others that we looked into. it is outdated but they were just bought out so they are supposed to start working on some of that stuff and they have improved a lot thus far. She is in a 1 bedroom and it is a good size for what she needs. They are very active and have a lot going on at all times. I would recommend to others looking especially for the price.
