My mother always asked me to get her out of there because they gave her a bad treatment, then they put her to sleep at 5 in the afternoon. I never agreed with that, but the owner denied it to me. She also had long periods of fasting because his last meal was at 3:30 p.m. until another day at 9 a.m.

Everything went well for me on my tour of this community. Everyone was kind and welcoming. You could tell they do a good job with the cleanliness of the place.

Not family friendly. When I would visit my mother, I was greeted, but did not feel welcome and felt rushed or pushed out if my visit occurred during meal time. Once while cutting my mother's hair, which I was asked to do, the owner took the scissors from my hand and finished the job so that she could take my mother to the table for lunch. The haircut was horrific, it took away my intimate time with my mother, and I felt, once again, rushed in my visit. I also do not appreciate that all the wards are parked in front of the Hallmark Channel daily. If your parent needs Hospice, there is also a push to get your loved one out. The housing is neat, clean, and food well prepared. Your family member will be clean and physically assessed daily.

A Place for Mom has scored Terene Manor 2 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
