At the time, the lady who got us set up it was great. At the beginning it was wonderland they were very attentive and communicative. They got bought out by another company who is completely in it it for the money and it went downhill. I would never recommend this facility to anyone unless they have better management.

As careful and as you think you are being in selecting a community you never know how a community will react to a situation. My mom was there for 31/2 months they had 3 nurse managers. One was not even an employee. When my mom was taken to the hospital no one told my where she was taken. No one called me. I had to call around to hospitals to find my mom. They never called me the whole time she was in the hospital. They never even returned my calls. As quickly as they closed down the community to the visitors they failed to take additional precautions with their staff. This resulted in a death sentence for my mom. They forbid the staff from wearing face masks. Not only did they not provide masks they would not let the staff wear masks from home. They said it would scare the residents. They took the authority to make that call and that was not theirs to make.

Westchester has been extremely helpful in this unpredictable time. They helped with scheduling my mother in law's move-in when none of her kids could get there because of the pandemic. They have assisted with many small tasks that we could not complete remotely.

For a 40 year old facility, this was a very fine operation - clean, no errant odors and an attractive campus with grass and trees. Most impressive was [name removed] herself - extremely knowledgeable and full of targeted questions to help us evaluate Mom's situation. The down side... a huge wait list for assisted living. But [name removed] showed us how independent could still work in Mom's case using the resources of this operation. We liked this property very much.

The agent did not expect me. She said that she gets a lot of referrals from Home for Mom and she probably simply skipped over it. She did find it when she looked. Fortunately she had time for me as a meeting she was scheduled for was cancelled. It is a nice enough place, clean, somewhat charming. Small community, evidence that their maintenance department is not always real prompt with things. Meal selections are limited, hot lunch, box supper. Small TV/WiFi/meeting room. Adequate pool and Jacuzzi for 4. Apartments were adequate. They have an antiquated intercom system in each apartment where they make announcements each morning. The call buttons do not work on them.

Dated dull and unappealing. All facilities have to be accessed from outside. It’s way too hot for my elderly love one to be left navigating in the blazing heat alone. Balcony set up seems unsafe. They were unsafe. The tour guide was nice but not knowledgeable because she said she worked on another side. She said she would have to have someone get back to me to answer my question. She also was unable to get the door open to show us the room, so we were left in the heat while she looked for maintenance to help. They apologize but all in all this place did not rank very high. I could not in good faith recommend it to anyone else.

My mom lived at Westchester in the independent living section for two years, February 2016 through January 2018. While it is not one of the more upscale senior living facilities the grounds and apartments were kept neat and clean for her first year. For the past year however things have deteriorated significantly to the point where we made the decision to move my mother to a new facility. Repairs are not being made to the apartments and the grounds and parking lot are shabby to say the least. If you're looking at Westchester my recommendation is to keep looking.

While looking into other facilities we were told that the meals were not included in the price we were quoted. They didn’t have many services on site compared to another facility we went with and they also did not have many activities. It is also a smaller property.

While I was looking at options that were recommended to me this was the worst on the list. The area where the assisted living was is beautiful, lovely, as well as the apartments. However, the memory care side just looked like mental ward. They are closed off with their doors and it’s like they just locked them in. The people that were there seemed alright, but they didn’t seem active at all. The other people seemed nice as well, but there was just no way that I would put my love one here. If you have just a little mentality left, I’m sure you would go bats being here.

They are warm and welcoming here and helped us instantly. The staff is wonderful, caring, and loving. He usually ate in his room but would go down a mingle during the morning to have his coffee and donuts. They have lots of daily activities here and the try to engage him to join in. It is lean and beautiful. They have a nice outdoor area with a swimming pool out there. I would recommend this.

I toured Westchester and thought it was an excellent facility. However, I felt that it was in a little more congested, parking lotty kind of area, and I really wanted a more quiet place for my loved one in a more tucked away area.

My Mom lived here for almost 2 years. She spent a year in the Villa independent living and the rest of her life in the Garden Court assisted living. I will say that this is not the fanciest place in town, but the apartments are clean and spacious. By far the best thing about Westchester is the staff. They are loving and dedicated to the people they care for. I cannot thank them enough for their care.

Haven't heard a word from them! I scheduled from this site twice, but both directors are off on weekends (pity) the receptionist was nice enough to give me a brochure an a sincere apology. Although the lowest price, the place looked very run down from the outside and I did not have a good feeling with it's location. Apparently since they couldn't be bothered I don't have to worry about it.

I was not very impressed with this property when I had taken my tour for my loved one. The community was very run down and everything just seemed old and outdated. It was not very clean and I would not want my parent or loved one living in facility like this one. The positive thing they had going for them was the staff was polite and professional to our needs.

We toured this community for the care for my mom. The staff is very friendly. They have a list of nice activities. The menu looked appealing. We liked that the community was clean and seemed maintained. We would suggest that families tour this community for the care of a loved one.
