A Vibrant, Caring Community

I have been an independent resident at Taylor Community for two years. In that time my experience has been one of gratitude for the many activities available from educational trips and lectures to seeing the care and concern offered on a daily basis. When a dear friend and resident became ill this past year she was always the recipient of the staff's attention. Her comfort was utmost in their caring as they helped guide her through her remaining days. Having no family in the area she put her trust in the Taylor staff and they rewarded her with their love and protection. Their evaluation showed what was needed and they delivered an outstanding care plan. Taylor is to be congratulated for running a community that truly cares for its residents.... Read more

Taylor don't Care

The Taylor Care staff responsible for monitoring the Lifeline equipment put my mother in grave danger multiple times when they completely disconnected and/or left it malfunctioning. Since they were responsible for monitoring and maintaining, this appears to be deliberate because they never apologized nor replaced the faulty equipment after the corporate headquarters requested them to. My mother struggled for her life in an emergency situation and crawled to her door for help when her Lifeline was left disabled. Suffering from pneumonia, she likely would have died in her apartment had she not found the strength to crawl for help. To top it off, they repeatedly overdosed her meds that could have killed her as well had I not discovered it when I did. Either the staff is totally incompetent or they are trying to kill the Elderly. By their lack of compassion for her I believe the latter to be true. You can read the whole story at: [removed]

Care, Compassion, and Safety are priorties at Taylor

My father-in-law has been a resident of Taylor Community since April 2019. He started his residency in Assisted Living, but because of the progression of his dementia, he was placed in Nursing in July. It has been a bit of a challenging transition for him, but everyone at Taylor has been very kind and gracious with him. Most importantly, because Taylor's staff was so aware of his needs, they were to keep him safe by moving him to a higher level of care at the appropriate time-- before he wandered off or got himself into trouble. We are very pleased with our decision to place our loved one in the care of Taylor's knowledgeable and compassionate staff.

Reckless Endangerment

Upon signing the Contract I truly believed that my independence was going to be protected but the exact opposite holds true at Taylor Community. After a few years there, I began getting hassled by [name removed], attempting to get me into Assisted Living. By the end, he was leaving my Lifeline unplugged and pendant malfunctioning for months on end. Unless he's totally incompetent at his job, then he must have been trying to cause harm or even end my life. If he and The nurse [name removed] are both incompetent then why are they in charge of managing the care of us Elderly Residents?

A great place to live!

I’ve lived here, in a lovely cottage, for two years and could not be happier! The caring and very supportive staff wants us all to be healthy and active at every level. There are activities in all categories, and if there is something you want that isn’t already established, the staff will help you get it. I’ve met some of the nicest people here, staff and neighbors. My best friend of 62 years lived here and recently passed away. I can’t imagine what more anyone could have wanted as far as caring, supportive and, yes, loving help that she received during her last months. I thank Taylor Community so much for easing her last months. We have a lot of fun here, music programs, individual raised bed gardens, walking paths, a gym, exercise pool, French club, crocheting, birthday parties, at least one day trip a week, hiking, a movie theater and more.

Stay away from this community.

My relative lived here for many years in Independent Living. Had to pay $210,000 to get in. Bought a Continuing Care agreement. This year, out of the blue, the Admin. decided she had go to Assisted Living . They were forcing her to go. She said no as there was no basis for this action. Maybe they wanted her room? Definitely would gain the additional fees having her in Assisted Living. After several months of back and forth, they terminated her contract and told her she had to be out this month. In my opinion I would stay away from this community. More info to come...

Crawl for Her Life

This the most unorganized facility in the State of NH. Other than the landscaping, it is falling apart from the inside out. They're so concerned with making money, they fail to take care of the basics like maintaining the medical alert system. Our Mother's was not working at the moment she needed it and had to crawl for her life out of her apartment, fortunately found by her neighbor.

I am very happy, so far.

I am very happy, so far. Sometimes she talks about the food, but from what we've seen everything seems pretty nice. They say they have free seating, but everyone kind of sits in the same place. One of the things that impressed us was that they have a separate memory loss section, though I am not quite sure how separate the memory section is. The people are really accommodating, she likes working with them, and physical therapy, and everything.

A wonderful place to "be"

We were most pleased and impressed with Taylor community and all it has to offer. Mother was happy, comfortable, and pleased with not only her surroundings, and fellowship. The care was wonderful, and she said she would prefer to stay there again for her respite. We would highly recommend The Taylor Community for respite care and assisted living. Thank you for making this time so relaxing and fun for all.
