Sweet Home Senior Living #1 is a unique residential senior living community in Van Nuys, a neighborhood in the central San Fernando Valley. Sweet Home comprises four neighboring houses which total a 24-resident capacity. Sweet Home is designed to offer personalized 24-hour care in a homelike environment, where residents can enjoy as much independence as they please.
Sweet Home is pet friendly with beautiful spacious living suites, idyllic patios and lounge areas, and fruit trees in the yard. The community features warm and caring experienced staff who are available around the clock, as well as visits from doctors. Home nurses and physical therapists are also on site. Residents receive an array of personalized care services, including assistance with activities of daily living, incontinence care, medication assistance, and accompaniment to medical appointments.
Residents also enjoy home-cooked meals and daily snacks, enrichment events, laundry and housekeeping services, transportation, and more. The community is all-inclusive, so residents and their families don’t incur an additional cost for services. The amount of attention, love and care that my 87 year old Aunt [name removed] is receiving at Sweet Home is amazing. By the grace of God we found this beautiful, caring, family friendly environment. Even during quarantine they have kept contact with families, organized resident holidays, birthdays and BBQs at their outdoor kitchen. There are four 6 resident capacity homes next door to each other which is like a small village. The homes are new and absolutely beautiful, the owners, who are sensitive caregivers are so professional. All of the confusing details of moving her in, dealing with medicine, doctors and insurance has been handled by these amazing women. Our Aunt [name removed]is so attached and grateful to them, a sign of what an incredible job they are doing. Our only regret is that during this time we expected to spend wonderful afternoons with her and her housemates at the outdoor kitchen but we have all been quarantined. Looking forward to the day of reconciliation but thank God for the beautiful home we found for her. Anyone interested feel free to call me personally. [name removed] [removed]
