A Place for Mom has scored Superior Care Homes with 2 out of 10 using our proprietary review score based on 1 review in the last 2 years. Over all time, Superior Care Homes has 1 review with an average "overall experience" of 2 out of 5.
My relative was there for 16 months until rent was raised so high, it was impossible to pay; an increase of over 100%. They claimed the level of care increased. After moving my relative home, we ALL see that the level of care has NOT increased in proportion to the amount of rent and care. Mgmt does NOT like the family to have a camera or engage the workers through it. So when you see your loved one getting hurt, what should you do? Report to the state ombudsman in that area. Of the 6 meds sent home, 4 were expired, so evidently meds were not given regularly. Hospice workers informed us that most of the time when giving a shower, my relative was covered in poop from front to back and it was dried. Also that my relative would be sitting at the dining table alone after others were finished and workers were NOT assisting. Hardly any engaging/talking/activities, just TV. Definitely NOT worth the cost. Protect your loved one by keeping them home or choosing different facility.

A Place for Mom has scored Superior Care Homes 2 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
