The staff is elderly & unable to lift or help with lifting my mom I had to constantly ask them to change her and ask about the food which was not homemade cooked food. It was sandwich or pizza from their fast food restaurant they owned. . She had a tooth infection in her mouth for months that no one at the house noticed. They told me I had to remove her and find a new home. She was bleeding & swollen in her mouth & no one reported it to me or my moms on call Dr. I asked the staff why wasn’t I contacted regarding her swollen mouth ? As soon as we moved her out . A dentist confirmed the infection that was going on in her mouth. This home looks great on the outside but the care was the least. They also lied multiple times when I would ask questions or check up on them between their staff . No activities for them they all were just put in front of tv. I brought over coloring books and magazines so my mom had something to look , or outdoor activity.

A Place for Mom has scored Sunset Homes I 1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
