The Dual bedroom apartment was larger than the one offered at Waltham Crossing and contained two bathrooms...which was a lovely arrangement for my mother and myself. The facility in general had a more homey feel to it and was set in the country just beyond the Waltham border into Weston. Socialization aspects were the same, although there were fewer residents. Financially the cost may be more, but there are a few more aspects for health care services. The home felt warm and inviting and [name removed] was very nice and knowledgeable, as well, concerning the needs of the elderly and having compassion and a willingness to work together with future residents to make the transition easier.

Sunrise changed management at the Weston facilty. The newer management is not as talented or organized as the previous management. Often there are over 1/2 the resident population in a large room with many tjat are a fall risk and not one staff member is in tne room. This can lead to dangerous situations with fall risks. Also with patients that may need assistance no one may be there when they may require tje use of a bathroom. The facilty is small and is a home like setting.

The chef offers a great menu every meal with a variety of different choices for the residents to choose from. The housekeeping is extremely wonderful at making sure my mothers room is always clean and picked up. They also have a great selection of activities for the residents throughout the day.

It's a small place. It's a pretty building with a very homey feel to it. The communication with the staff has been good. They are responsive. The cleanliness, friendliness, and activities are excellent. The parking and location is good. I would recommend the Sunrise of Weston to anyone. I can't rate the care services because it is not applicable. Overall, it has been a very good experience. It's a nice place.

Distance for daughter from Stow was a problem, and she reported that facilities were nice; but honest Assessment Nurse was preliminarily not enthusiastic that Virginia could pass the Medications Test (sounds like I could not either). Was not a good day for Daughter to conduct visit: literally following root canal surgery earlier in afternoon. Sunrise was given a full 2 hours to make their case, but overall impression was that it would not be a good fit.

We liked this community because it was on the smaller side, and we felt like Mom would get more focused and individual attention, which is something she needs. So far we're happy with this community, and Mom seems to be doing well. The caregivers have been very friendly and helpful. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who might be looking into care!

This community provides fine care, and is a nice looking place, however it was a smaller place than what we were looking for for my Aunt. There aren't many residents, and there were even fewer that were at the functional level that my Aunt was at, so her social interactions were limited.
