I would tell a friend, that overall they are a pretty good place. However when my loved on died they notified my sister in CA instead of getting ahold of me. And I was on the documents and the person to notify. I have no problem with then notifying my sister. My complaint is they never notified me. I found out when I went to visit.

Administrative staff are nothing short of money hungry. They show no empathy towards the people who are there. I saw it all over the facility. They do not treat people with dignity and they do not do what they promise to do. My Grandma- Aunt who was like my grandma- was there for a day over a week. I live in California and was there for 5 of those days. I requested since we had paid $[removed] for the entire month in advance, that they installed working blinds that actually kept the scorching sun out of her hot, piss smelling room. I spoke to [name removed] and was asked to submit a "Work Order" - I did so with the young depressed girl who sits at the front entrance. I left the day before he had promised to install, my GM passes away 2 days later and guess what? No blinds were ever installed before she did. Cherry on top, we had been told that since they they were aware of her medical condition, that they would refund any unused days if she passed away before the month. The day comes and no refund!

If I could give this establishment a minus, I would. My brother and I are looking for an assisted community for our father. We came across Sunridge Village and ignored the bad reviews, liked the pictures and looked for the positive. We decided to drop by and either speak to someone or make an appointment for a future date, when we walked in, it looked nothing like the pictures, there were a few residents walking around but no one to greet us. Still, we decided to wait a few minutes and just take in the atmosphere, just then a very tall blond lady walked in, did not greet us, we walked up to her instead, she informed us that she was the coordinator of some kind and the cigarette smoke coming from her was almost unbearable, still, we proceeded to ask her questions. Her answers varied from " I'm not sure to I'll find out" and was not interested in answering our questions or asking us to sit somewhere to talk as it's customary. Avoid

I feel Sunridge Village is good place. The caregivers are friendly and really caring, even when patients are unwilling to do as asked. They never demand only ask. Then they get more respect from the patient. Always jovial and joyful. You can visit anytime, which I like.

Bring your own lighting and lots of it. The rooms are very dark. But my dad is getting good care. The staff are always very friendly, nice. and helpful The food seems like it would taste okay except for the fact that it's always served cold by the time it's delivered to his room.

Some positives are the courtyard, we enjoy that area and the dedicated memory care. We enjoy the security of the community and the responsiveness of the staff members. However when it comes to improvements and constructive feedback they could work better on their operation coordination, they seem to be disjointed at times. Getting maintenance in the rooms can be difficult at times, just their operations in total can bit a bit fragmented

The friendliness of the staff is by far the best quality of the facility and is what really sticks out to me. I get along well with everybody here. The timeliness of the delivery of food could be improved, it has been late recently. I do also think they could provide more activities for the residents. I would recommend them, especially for the price.

Very nice overall. Very positive atmosphere, staff seems to know what's going on with residents. Somewhat concerned about the childish nature of the residents with regards to having to sit at "their table" for every meal. Staff should not allow that behavior to make everyone feel welcome. Also wish hallways were enclosed rather than outdoors since it is so windy here. I think I would feel comfortable having a loved one live here.

This community is very good and I’m very happy with everything. All of the staff members are attentive to mom. She is showered twice a week and someone does her laundry once a week. When she first moved in, the maintenance man was there from the first box to the finishing touches. He put the bed together, put shelves on the walls, helped us arranged the room, and told us if we needed to rearrange the room he would be happy to do it. He was just so accommodating! My Mother even said the food is very good. I think the only complaint we have is they give too big of portions! I cannot recommend this community enough. The rooms are lovely with an amazing riverside view. It 's very bright and welcoming. We're very, very happy with the facility.

I had recently taken a tour of this community for my loved ones and I have no complaints of how things had went. I thought the staff did a great job with the presentation and really took there time with us during our visit. They had great amenities for the residents and a nice open floor plan. It was just not the right location for us in the end decision.

Sunridge Village is the best property in the Tri-State area for the money. This senior living community has a resort like feel but offers 24 hour caregivers to watch over my loved one. I am thrilled that I found this gem so close to home.

A Place for Mom has scored Sunridge Village Assisted Living 7.1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
