Poorly run, terrible food! [name removed] the nurse manager, is horrid, cold, and misplaced about how to manage staff, and her assistants are more political when residents like my family needed a nursing home but wanted my money instead.

Our overall experience has been great. No question that we made the right choice for us. The cleanliness, friendliness, quality of care and staff have been great. The food is a 5 plus. Dining is restaurant style: you order from a menu and the food that you select is prepared for you. No steamtable fare at Summit. The choices vary weekly and the Chef and baker are A+. The activities I rated at 4 mainly because I haven't participated in enough offerings yet. Communication and participation are encouraged and create an environment of caring and wellbeing.

We met with the Resident Services and Marketing Director on several occasions to discuss what type of accommodations were needed in order to commit to move in to Summit by Morrison. The Resident Services and Marketing Director, on several occasions, told us Summit by Morrison could meet our requests so we gave notice to our current facility and made arrangements to move into Summit by Morrison. When it came time to sign the lease agreement I requested our approved accommodations be included in the lease agreement. After several weeks passed, I was then told they could not adjust the lease agreement with the requested accommodations at this time. Had we know this in the beginning we would not have given notice to our current apartment.

My mother is currently a resident at Summit by Morrison and it's been a great experience so far! The staff couldn't be more friendly and professional! Communication with the family is respectful and patient. The design of the facility is brilliant. The move in process was fantastic, lots of help. The residents were welcoming from day one. The food is great. I know where I'm going when the time arrives! I would recommend Summit by Morrison to others.

I would tell others that this seems like an excellent place. I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The staff is very nice and professional. The community itself is fairly new, and it seems like a good community. The meals are served in the dining room with options for the residents to choose from, and I believe the community serves three meals a day to the residents.

This community is a great value for what is paid. I have a lot of confidence in the staff and how my loved one is being cared for. She loves this community. They have activities like pianist, movie days, physical fitness, trips around the community and social hours.

We chose Summit by Morrison because it was convenient to shopping and other services. The apartment sizes are unbelievable, my father has a 1 bedroom and has a full kitchen with his own patio. The food is chef prepared and you get to order off a menu like a restaurant. You get variety for every single meal. They give my dad a call every day to make sure he is ok even though he is in independent living and he loves that. I would recommend to others looking without a doubt.

A Place for Mom has scored Summit by Morrison 7.9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
