Our brother [name removed] spent the last few weeks of his life at St Padre Pio. Everyone there is very special!!!!! [name removed] got wonderful hands-on care. We have decided that when it’s our time, we want to be there. [name removed] bought pants for [name removed] because she hoped he would be ambulatory. They cooked his favorite foods and experimented with shakes to come up with the most special one. He was bathed daily and always neat and clean. This is more of a family environment, so I think it's more relaxing for the residents. They don't feel like they're in an institution. There was more one-on-one care here as well. The direct care staff nurse was good, and she's the one I dealt with on an on-going basis . She was really laid back and easy going. In the end when our loved one was having trouble eating, they were very accommodating in pureeing food for her. And they took care of everything - they helped with setting up hospice. I didn't have to worry about anything. They even let her puppy come and visit, which helped her out a lot.

My mom, who has Alzheimer's, has been at St. Padre Pio's for approx. three months. The care is outstanding, the facility clean and very up to date. [Name removed] and her staff make sure Mom takes the proper medication, is clean, gets good meals and they treat her with kindness and care. Mom was in a rehab center for a few months which was a nightmare--noisy, dirty, and the staff over-medicated her. I can't recommend St. Padre Pio's enough. Their prices are extremely reasonable and the level of their care a thousand times better than anything you'll get in the usual assisted living homes. Mom's condition has improved--at least physically. We are very happy we found St. Padre Pio's.

November 15, 2018Thank you so much! We have noticed that several people that have decided to stay our home have improved even when it was not expected. When we set up our home we kept in mind what we have experienced with our loved ones and have tried to excel where other facilities have came up short. It is hard to catch all of the girls together because they are always running around doing something, cleaning, fixing meals, talking with an RN or are at an appointment with resident, but we try to have plenty of love/girls to go around.
[Name removed] is very patient and sweet. She knows how to treat her clients with respect.

November 15, 2018Yes, you for sure you can trust your mom, dad, brother, sister is our concern and we would not do anything to loose that trust. My wife has been doing this for a long time and... definitely makes sure everyone gets what they need. When it is bath time, you can try to hide, but everyone gets their turn! lol

November 15, 2018Thank you. We do our best to make our home look, smell, etc. as close to the home that someone has left as possible. We are always asking questions to find out if there is anything that our residents miss or wish we had at our home. My wife is learning to cook all kinds of things that our residents have become used to eating in the past. lol
This is the place like home with a clean and friendly staff. They treat their patients as their own family. They have a very good ambiance that suits the elders.
