Spring Home at Galloway

The staff at Spring Home at Galloway are not equipped for a serious memory care patient. They are not patient and they do not understand how to deal with them effectively and kindly. I am very disappointed with the facility.

It was very clean. Friendliness of staff, well the aides at night and weekends where horrible but during the week and day they were great. Quality of care was ok the medicine room was a nightmare with people waiting in the hallways unattended but the nurses where great. Meals were amazing. My mom never went to the activities. My mother needed more care then they could give her and it was unfortunate that we were promised all the care she would need when we went on a tour. So a little disappointed in the entire experience.

All the staff I have come across are friendly, though I do feel they are short of help for the amount of residents there are. My mother is up and down about the food so I can't really rate it. But they have 3 meals and choices at those meals and they get a snack at least once a day. Not sure they have much in the line of activities though they do have bingo everyday. The price is similar to other places we checked though it just increased with no warning to us.

I love the community, everyone is so nice. We picked this community because we just liked it when we saw it and got the tour.

The staff is helpful/friendly you do need to be comfortable with reminding when you have specific needs. When it comes to the meals, surprised on variety of food and presentation especially in the memory care unit. When not eating in the dining room, Trays are brought to the room with food on plates rather than in containers. The activities appear to be a variety of activities however my family member does not participate often. There was some flexibility with initial money needed. The facility is run well. We are very pleased with Spring Home and the care my family member receives.

It seemed great when she first moved in, then it changed ownership shortly after. The prices went up and quality went down. My mom is still a little active...she says most residents are in memory loss or immobile stages. I would tell others to look around at other places first

Our loved one passed away there last [date removed] We found no fault with the facility or staff. She never really wanted to be in assisted living. She was moved from the front building to the rear more supervised building. She had a blood clot & then a broken hip. No fault of the facility. The nurses & Grace hospice people were good. She did not complain about the place or service.

There is just not enough help at the facility. They really need to hire more staff and be more attentive to the residents there.

Staff is super nice and helpful. Housekeeping is okay. Not great. Not terrible. Communication is okay and the move in was good. I would recommend the facility to others.

We would definitely recommend Spring Home at Galloway to others. We utilized the short term respite care services at Spring Home. They were very helpful answering questions, providing information and making us comfortable with having my dad stay with them temporarily. He was very happy during the stay and the staff communicated with us when we had any questions or concerns.

We liked the price. We picked this community because it was right and they were willing to work with us and mom liked it on her visit there. My loved one, has only complained a little bit about the food. Otherwise all seems good there.

My loved one is currently a resident at Spring Home at Galloway. The facility is much smaller than most of the other facilities that we looked at. They check on my mom a few times a day, especially if she does not go to an event or pick up her medications. The housekeeping is good. Communication with the family is good, they are very responsive to any issues. The cleanliness and friendliness are good. The staff and care services are great.

This is the third facility that my husband has been in since last April. I visit at various times and his room is always clean. The bed is made. The bathroom is clean. HE is always clean. Dressed. No odor from him. Everyone that I speak with is familiar with him and they like him. He seems happy. Knowing all of this is a HUGE relief to me and my family. I would recommend Spring Home at Galloway in a heartbeat.

I was very pleased with our experience at Spring Home at Galloway. My loved one was not here long and was a tough case - they did the best they could for him. I would recommend this facility to others looking.

I'm very happy that my loved one is here. The people are very kind. She's comfortable and well taken care of. She's a picky eater yet she likes the food. The facility is pretty. It's very nice and homey, which is what I liked about it right away when I first came to visit. You feel like you're at home.

It has been a positive experience. There is always a nice pleasant smell and the staff have been friendly. The residents are well cared for, when I am visiting my loved one that I can see. There are lots of activities for the residents; however, my loved one doesn't participate so I couldn't rate them. The community is willing to bring the breakfast to my loved one; however, it does arrive late.

I would not recommend the community if your loved one needs lots of care. If your loved one can walk, and talk this would be a good community. My loved one has lost weight since being here. They need to be upfront with the care services they offer and what they won't do. There were a lot of surprises to us after getting into the community.

It is a very caring community. We were able to have virtual visits with our loved one. The staff communication was great.

We chose Spring Village because the rooms were very nice size and had a much better atmosphere. The staff here was good, but they were not trained properly for the type of care that we needed, but they did work very hard. They did have a lot of activities provided to the residents. My wife passed away here, I did not like at the end the way that it was handled. I would recommend depending on the care your loved one needs.
