Sprenger Health Care Bluffton

This facility is a beautiful facility with very rude employees. Sorry to include the nice one but this is not a place to leave your love one. If you are going to put them in the facility it is in your best interest to try to get some around the clock for them. When you have employees that do not care for the patient this can be very upsetting to the patient. The person that answers the phone. this is where it starts do not need to be on the phone taking any phone calls from anybody. The attitude is very very forceful. The employees need to be trained on customer care how to take care of The patient.

This facility is unsafe in my opinion and is very difficult to contact even when your family member is there. Most often no one answers the phone. My family member, who is [age removed], managed to "fall out of his wheelchair," which he never needed until he was at this facility, and had to be taken to the local hospital emergency room during his "care" at Sprenger. Also, he managed to simply walk out and leave the facility at least twice while he was there. I was told they "found him walking around the parking lot." Also, his health rapidly declined during his approximate three week stay. I don't know when they would have released him (I'm guessing when insurance money ran out) but I had enough of the inferior care, which was dangerous, and picked him up. He immediately improved. If you have to go there, deal with the person who handles the insurance. Otherwise, it is hard to get anyone on the phone or get any response.

First week was pretty good nurses wonderful but night shift very very bad my husband's diaper was not changed for 15 hours he got very upset and to get attention he wrapped a cord around his neck welll he got attention so they sent him to the ER along with his dirty diaper anyway shrinks checked him and found he is not mentally ill then they sent him to another hospital also had physic evaluation no sign of mental health problem. So now that this happened at Sprenger rehab they won't take him back for further theropy and no one else will accept him. I would get very upset if no one would chance my dirty diaper for so many hours. I also bought them putting two diapers on at the same time. The reason I know they didn't change his diaper for that long I counted the diapersin the drawer that I supplied they don't supply diapers not one used since I left the day before and the double diaper they put on the night before was still in the waste paper basket with a little trash from the day before so sad.
