The owner seems to be flexible with arrangements. The staff are caring and responsible. The home is super clean. Meals are basic but they do try to accommodate allergies, restrictions and preferences. The caregivers seem open to expectations of family regarding resident's care. There are not many activities organized here but that was not a factor in our selection. This home is not a lock-down memory care home but does provides very good value for the costs. We feel personal care has been superior and expenses less than previous larger facility. I would recommend that anyone with an Alzheimer family member consider this home for care providing they are reasonably mobile and not inclined to wander.... Read more

Owner, mean. In fact I have adult protection looking into her houses. Bad staff all 3 of her houses should be shut down, yesterday, have Attorney looking into it, wouldn't send a Family member there. Hell wouldn't send my worst enemy there.
This facility is super clean. The owner makes every effort to be flexible with arrangements. The care seems very good and the staff expresses concern and responsibility. They make every reasonable effort to comply with the family's expectations for care. There is not much in the way of organized activities here but that was not a factor in our selection process. The meals are fairly basic but they seemed willing to work with allergies or food restictions- or preferences. I think that this residence provides very good value for the costs. In our experience the personal care has been superior and the expenses less than the previous larger residence.

A Place for Mom has scored Spears House of Care 1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
