I would give them a 5 in all categories. They were wonderful, especially [name removed]. My mom passed away there and I have been struggling with that. No reflection on Siebenthals, my mom was put on hospice care shortly after going there. I really wish we would have found them sooner as I believe her quality of life was much better there. Thank you for finding Siebenthals for us, they were truly a God send!... Read more

Overall experience, good to start, but declined. Cleanliness of the facility, appeared clean most of the time, but dogs urinated and defecated in open areas and was not always immediately cleaned up. Saw a roach on the floor once. Friendliness, everyone was friendly. Quality of care, great to start. Many staff changes and shortages lead to a decline in attention and care. Food, declined. Initially home cooked meals then often frozen meals and bagged salads. Activities, many activities were offered, my dad was not able to participate in many. Exercise offerings were provided. Value for the money, probably fair. * Additional comments: extensive wait times to see my dad when visiting created unease. Sometimes clothes were dirty like he had been in them for multiple days. Neighbors reported residents got lost in the neighborhood often. Owner's second business, a florist operation, may be a factor in the decline of attention my dad was getting. Overall, I believe [name removed] has a huge heart and provided positive encouragement for residents, but the ability to run the operation effectively grew thin.

[name removed] and I rate the care home at 5 for all of these. Mom's been very difficult and the staff has been very patient with her - and does a great job of keeping us up-to-date on her daily activities and progress.

The staff is very caring. The home is clean and never smells. The meals are adequate, but my mom is very picky and they try to accommodate her. They provide daily activities so the residents do more than sit. They have them help with meal prep and chores like folding clothes. They have music and chair exercises. They helped us provide a wonderful birthday celebration for my Mom's 104th birthday. It's a very homey atmosphere and my Mom has adjusted very well. They keep you informed about your loved one's progress with reports and pictures. I am very pleased with her care.

[name removed] and her staff are amazing. I can't say enough about her passion and concern for her residents. She gets her folks and really really cares about them. Even though mom wasn't there for long, we felt very good about her being there. We were very very happy to have found [name removed]. She's a firecracker but knows her stuff.

They are very group oriented; activities and exercise are scheduled daily. I haven't found any issues that require improvement. It had the most inviting feel that suits my loved one best. It has a lively feel, music is often played, and they are interactive. My loved one was, very social beforetheir stroke. I felt it would feel like home to my loved one, rather than a care facility.

We are very excited about the true community feeling, as opposed to feeling like a warehouse. Our loved one is still settling in which is why they did not receive stars, our loved one is not the easiest to work with so there have been some bumps, but everything is getting smoothed out. The community is also extremely clean.

The experience at Siebenthal Care Home was really good, the community is very family orientated and very organized. They really did care about our parents and they were very good about keeping our family up to date.
I just want to share how wonderful the staff at Siebenthal Elder Care Home treated my Father. He suffered from advanced Parkinson's which included dementia and hallucinations. They were able to adjust with him daily since his ability, both physical and mental would vary widely. They got him to exercise and participate in group activities. They were concerned with helping all of the residents stay active. I loved seeing the residents help out around the house even when it was clear the staff may have to redo their work. It helped everyone feel like they were contributing. I received texts and photos frequently letting me know how my Dad was doing. [Name removed] was very active in his health care, even coming to many of his doctor visits so she could more easily share with the doctor how he was doing. I felt like they were a part of my Dad's team and they would cheer him on when he was trying to do something difficult. I'm so glad my Dad was able to spend time with this wonderful group of people. They really operate from the heart and are in this business for all of the right reasons. ?

I am so impressed with [name removed] and her care home. I’m a Geriatric Social Worker who visits many board and care facilities, and [name removed]'s home is a cut above the rest. Her staff is well trained, her residents are well cared for, and she understands that a person is more than their current diagnosis. She keeps them active, brings them on vacation with her, and excels in emergency preparedness. I would trust her with my own family and I wish there were more senior care facilities like hers.

They are doing well with my sister here. They are pushing her to be active and I like the community for her. I have nothing bad to say. The staff are attentive to her care. With the ups and downs I have no indication of her having to move out yet. They like her and I like the place too. There is more activities than what she was use to before. I am happy that they are motivating her and she is getting use to her new environment.

I think this facility was the best of the best. The staff person, Lita, was expressive regarding the clients well being. The clients were present and engaged in the activities of their harvest feast. I would place mother her in a heart beat.

I know the owner who gave me a tour of the community. She showed me the whole facility. All my questions were answered and we talked about the future of my mom's care needs. I realized this community is too far for us and they did not have delivery service available yet. It was a good tour altogether.

We were very impressed with the owner/caregiver of this care home. She is outgoing & friendly and told us that she includes her residents in daily activities such as grocery shopping, meal preparation, etc. The home and patio are lovely and clean. They have small dogs, which we felt would be a big plus for my mother-in-law who is an animal lover. The bedroom seemed small and there is only one bathroom to be shared. Because they also have male residents, we felt my mother-in-law would be uncomfortable with that, so we chose another facility. However, we believe that the caring owner, the activities, and the animals would make this a good place to live.

Arrived 10 minutes early for the 11 AM tour, knocked on the door and rang door bell with no response. Waited several minutes and left. If they do not have enough staff for a scheduled tour it makes me wonder how they handle the residence. Did not have a good feeling. No need to return.

A Place for Mom has scored Siebenthal Care Home 9.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
