[Removed] herself sat down for 45 minutes and was engaging, knew all the answers, shows compassion to residents, has 28 yrs experience in elder care, & especially knows dementia issues. I was impressed with her cheerfulness and depths of knowledge about dementia as well as pharmaceuticals, which they have a pharmacy tech. on staff who works with their doctor in monitoring, tweaking and changing doses and meds when needed. One resident transferred in and was in bad condition, but when her meds were changed, she came "alive", began to talk again and engaged with others. We saw the woman ourselves. Tour was nice, bedrooms had enough room. The common-shared area wasn't too large, and thing was a ramp in one part of the house, but everything was spotless, they had hand-railings everywhere, rooms decorated nice, eating area nice with florals, residents were calm. Nice quiet residential area.

My mom came to Shanti Home for Respite care. Very clean. The house is in need of some renovation - the house is dated. The staff and owner are very nice. They worked exceptionally hard to provide great care. I was a little disappointed that my mom was unable to get showers. No hot water? Shower not working? Not sure why. She had to take sponge baths. Considering those things I would give it 3 out of five stars.

Owmer is very nice and very accomoodating. I felt my Mom was in very good hands.

The owner and staff are very nice. Very motivated to make your stay comfortable. The residents seem to feel right at home. Clean, pleasant environment. Lots of opportunities to socialize.
