Good, not great, but still would recommend.

Overall, a good facility for the price. A bit understaffed in my opinion, with only 1 caretaker per 8 residents most of the time. Really disappointed that they don't have cable in each resident room. This would provide more mental stimulation, particularly for people who can't leave the facility and/or don't want to participate in the group activities. We had one incident with a mouse in my stepmom's room (she was partly to blame due to keeping candy outside of a closed container). The food is generally cooked fresh for each meal, but may tend toward processed/pre-made foods a bit more than average. Also, one of the issues is that this facility just transferred ownership a few months back. As a result, they no longer have an off-site shuttle bus service for residents to go the store, errands, etc... Read more

I would recommend Assured Living now that they are working through the staffing issues.

When I moved my grandmother in, Serenity House had just sold to Assured Living, and there were a lot of staffing problems due to the merger. Grandma had a very tough transition. Her room wasn't really ready for her. Her closet still has a bunch of stuff in it from a previous resident, or they're just storing stuff there. They have hired a couple now that lives on site. Things have really improved since [name removed]and [name removed]were hired. A few of the Serenity staffed stayed and they are very good too. Now that they are staffed again. When we first arrived, the quality of care was pretty bad. Meals could be better with fresh vegetables and fruits. They cook a lot from canned foods and prepackaged products. [name removed] and [name removed] do exercise and sing with them, which is great. When I interviewed with Serenity, [name removed] , the previous owner, promised a lot more activities I think they are fairly priced according to the market rate.

Would recommend. Well run facility. They took very good care of my dad.

[name removed] runs a good operation. I had my dad stay with them for the last three months of his life, and they took very good care of him. I would recommend them to other families.

I don’t worry about my mother’s care anymore. The staff is on top of everything including medications. They supervise my mother carefully to make sure she doesn’t fall. This is the best nursing home I’ve discovered compared to others my mother stayed at. It’s small and homey. My mother is very happy there and is looking much more healthier than before. It is a total relief for me too knowing she is getting good care. The Operations Manager makes sure all things are in order too. She is great.

Very nice looking community!

We toured this location when we were looking into care needs for a loved one. I thought everything here looked great! It was a nice looking place, very clean, and the staff were all friendly and professional. The only reason we didn't select this community was that we found one equally as excellent that was located more conveniently for our family.

Home, ~$4200/month. I would like to have dad at a facility with slightly more mentally active adults. Not sure he would accept living in a group home if he see's people that are worse than he is.
