The Rustic Retreat Retirement Home is an assisted living center in beautiful, sunny Boynton Beach, Florida. The sub-tropical climate will have you feeling like you are in an exclusive island getaway filled with the best beaches in all of Palm Beach County. The staff are also available 24 hours a day to make you feel comfortable, relaxed, and content. We take the time to speak with our residents to get to know them personally in order to provide them with the support and care they need. Rustic Retreat has got to be the worst nursing home in all of south Florida! The place has no call buttons by the bed or in the bathrooms for anyone to call for help which is very bad especially if someone falls they expect residents to have a cell phone and if they need help they have to call the front desk main number where half of the time the people don't answer the phone and you have leave a message and wait. The food is terrible and they give such small portions that are meant for a child. For example on Sunday night for dinner they serve cottage cheese with a few pieces of fruit from a can that is what that place calls dinner! They don't even have any registered nurses working there and a doctor only comes there once every two weeks and rushes out. The owner June is not a very nice person and she runs this place the cheapest way possible and the rooms are so small. You also have to pay money for rent in addition to what Medicare pays.

For one thing the management was completely honest in the details of what kind of place this is with a friend of mine. Some of the staff is actually rude where one of the so called medical aid who needed help getting out of the bathroom that quote "this isn't a assistant living place which is probably where you should've gone to" the aid made it known that she felt bothered by her actions just for helping my friend who needed some extra help getting up from going to the bathroom. They also have no land line telephones in the patient rooms and no call button for help should someone living there need assistance and no railings in the bathroom.
