My loved one is currently a resident at River Ridge Retirement Village and most everything has been great for her at this facility so far. The cleanliness and friendliness are great. The staff and meals are also great. It's a great place with great people. A very nice facility. I would recommend River Ridge to everyone.

I was able to tour both the assisted living and independent living facilities. I was impressed at the number of activities and personal help in other buildings. It also is admirable that those in independent living could participate in special programs at the other building.

We talked to residents while sitting there eating and they all had favorable things to say! Staff was friendly and asked repeatedly if they could help us. Cost compared to other places was good.

I would recommend it to others but would encourage them to visit a couple of times during busy hours to observe the care of residents.It is clean, friendly and the staff are caring but they are understaffed, so residents don't always receive the care they need at the moment.It was a promising place to put my loved one.

In regards to being understaffed, currently we are not, but we have had some delays in care due to staff sickness. My dad was previously a resident at River Ridge Retirement Village and overall his experience was okay. The staff was mostly new with a few old who remained. I observed the old staff as excellent, friendly and genuinely concerned with knowing my dad. The communication and organization was terrible. The price/cost changed constantly. My dad said that the food was 'just okay.; Dad will eat anything, so it might have been terrible. The overall cleanliness was good. The director is kind and helpful, but I get the feeling that she is not supported by anyone above her. Getting into the building to visit was a constant complaint, often having to wait and call for a long time before getting inside. Hopefully, they are a learning to work together because the disconnect by the original employees and the new employees is obvious.

From the day my brother entered River Ridge, he (and I) were treated like family. The staff gave 110% to make sure I was informed and kept up to date on his care. They also worked to manage his day to day health and well being along with customizing solutions to keep him thriving. And yes, they aren't perfect, but let me tell you, it isn't often when you see a management team that rolls up their sleeves to do what is in the best interest of the patient and family. I have found everyone there to be positive and always open to ideas to improve the partnership between family and staff. I would highly recommend River Ridge to anyone seeking care for a loved one.

When the place was bought out, by an investment company, all went downhill. The new director they fired, had zero people skills. He didn't even talk to the residents. Missed meetings, lied about taking care of issues, and his boss did nothing.
