Richmond Hill Retirement Residence

The food was terrible, the place was dirty. There was no activities or if there was they were limited. In the beginning it was beautiful and great but it started to go down hill. There was medical problems, they were mixing up the medicines. They said they would have rides to and from places, but when we asked they said they were booked for weeks out, and people were rude. The aids who were there some were very sweet and nice, but after awhile they just couldn't do anything.

I am grateful everyday to have found Richmond Hill Retirement Residence. It is such a wonderful home for my Mom to live. My Mom has lived here for just over 2 years. The staff are caring and treat the residents like family. They know every residents name, their friends. They even know most of our family members by name as well. The nursing staff are exceptional. My Mom was recently hospitalized and the care given to her before she went and when she returned was over and above. The recreation staff offer a wide variety of interesting and fun activities on a daily basis. I believe it is because of this, that my Mom's Alzheimer's Disease is not progressing rapidly. The staff know which activities are her favourites and if she forgets to attend one, they find her so she doesn't miss it. Live entertainment is offered regularly and is wonderful. My mom really enjoys the food, and I am welcome to join her for a meal at a nominal cost. RHRR has been amazing during the pandemic. While the residents were quarantined to their suites, the staff have offered special desserts, given them activities to do, or visited them to help with the loneliness. They made sure every holiday was special and it really helped my Mom when she was unable to spent it with her family. I can't imagine what it must be like trying to keep the residents safe and busy over the last few months. I am truly grateful for Richmond Hill Retirement Residence, I can rest easy knowing my Mom is in excellent hands.

My parents moved in for a staycation at the beginning of March. The transition was difficult for them as they had to leave their beloved home of 43 years. A couple of weeks later, the home was on lockdown due to the Pandemic. The staff at RHRH have been so helpful and accommodating with my parents. I cannot thank all the staff members enough for taking such great care of my parents and ensuring their daily needs are being met while keeping all the residents safe. The residents are so friendly and welcomed my parents into their community with open arms. We definitely made the right choice in choosing RHRH as their new home. Thank You for taking such great care of our parents!

An amazing facility and tour.

okay facility but staff seem disinterested in clients.

My mother was the one staying there but she dose not write in English but she did convey to me that she had a very good stay and all the staff she dealt with were very friendly and helpful. She was especially impressed how they all recognized her immediately and called her by her first name without any name tags. This shows your dedication to detail and making somebody feel like part of the family. We will definitely recommend this residence.

My mother and I love the facility and all the staff the location of the facility is also excellent. One area to needs improvement is in the food. My mother would like more Italian food. She would also like to play bingo more often.

We stayed for a respite stay here once. It was really nice. It was beautiful, and the food was outstanding. It was like a resort. For the price they charge though, it should. We could not use this as a long term residence because it is so expensive, even for a shared room, but it was a really nice stay for a week.

new, nice, clean facility. Anne is super nice and residents love her. a few employees speak Russian and they have experience working with people who don't speak English. Can take some breakfast items the night before and eat breakfast in room. have option of someone to walk her to dinning room and bring her food to her room. $100/day for independent.

Tour was done by the marketing director so she was quite knowledgeable about the vacancies and seemed most willing to negotiate the upgrade and other premium aspects.
