Unfortunately, over the last nearly two years my wife has experienced several hospital and rehab stays. Generally speaking they have not been good experiences. My concern when placing her in a long term memory care facility was her safety and her compatibility with the facility. Providence Place has exceeded our expectations. Their staff is very caring and compassionate. The facility is well managed and maintained. The kitchen staff is the best. They keep the residents engaged and busy. The staff were so helpful to family and mom especially when things were difficult during covid. Mom had insurance so the value for the money was perfect.

My mother was at this facility for several months. Our experience there was horrific. She fell several times, the food served was not appropriate for the elderly and those with dementia. It was also not nutritious. The staff that was supposed to help residents spent time on their cell phones instead of with residents. There was a bed alarm placed on my mother's bed that was connected to pagers that were not even working! So when she fell out of bed, she was left lying there until someone finally checked on her. The person in charge was never on-site so there was no leadership. We had several meetings with her to no avail. I called the owner to complain as well. When Mom fell again, I took her to the ER myself and she NEVER returned to that horrible place. I understand that [name removed] is now gone but she still works for [removed]. I reported the place to the State and they were cited for three different issues. I hope the change in leadership helped but since my concerns fell on deaf ears, I seriously doubt.

A Place for Mom has scored Providence Place Memory Care 8.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
