Our family and my father-in-law are very grateful to Port Credit Residences for their care, concern and willingness to help in a variety of ways. The facility is aesthetically beautiful, clean and above all safe for my father-in-law. The staff is knowledgeable, professional, approachable and willing to take action. The residents are friendly and welcoming. My father-in-law experienced significant change to his health during covid. As a result he made the decision to move to Port Credit Residences. The staff were terrific as they balanced safety related to covid as well as support and caring for someone who was no longer living independently and moving in from out of town. There were some delays to his arrival due to safety concerns. These decisions were clearly explained to us and under the circumstances, ensured the safety of both the current residents and my father-in-law. In order to assist with the transition leading up to moving in and since he’s been living there, they have continually problem solved and generously provided support in many ways. I was told that they treat their residents as they would their own family. They are respectful, caring, encouraging and helpful. It’s been 6 weeks since my father-in-law moved in and he’s feeling more socially connected, more physically able and safe. He knows if he needs help it’s available 24/7. This gives him peace of mind. For our family this move has given us peace of mind as well. There were many factors that made this move difficult and I can’t thank the staff enough for their positive attitude, their willingness to mobilize, offer solutions and make changes to help my father-in-law. Btw the residence has had no positive covid cases for staff or residents. That record doesn’t happen accidentally and stems from a full effort from staff with focus on residents’ safety as their top priority.

My mother has been in this residence for the past two years and we are very happy with their attention to all her needs. We are particularly pleased with how well they have addressed the COVID-19 pandemic. We feel very confident that my mother is safe here. [names removed] have been wonderful - they are warm and caring toward all the residents and make it happy place to live, even during these difficult times.

This Home is shameless. They are only interested in “Customers” who are well enough to care for others, and not just themselves - and they count on it!! The surrounding Residents were more concerned for my father-in-law than the staff. It is embarrassing and you really wonder, “What exactly are we paying for??” If your Parent or Loved one needs assistance, they are not going to get it here- If you’re looking to toss money in the air.... This is the place!!

Great location, comfortable, food passable per my father... Out-dated and worn carpet around edges in hallways However, don't get sick... 2 meals a day delivery for the month $1,920 (breakfast in a bag - banana, yogurt, muffin, OJ), and they charge ahead! Father transferred to palliative care on 26th of month, and charge $1,920 for the next month ....That is $32 a meal for 30 days! Other charges for the month were also on the invoice. 100 days later still waiting for a refund to the estate.... Thus I would conclude the management and accounting services are HORRIBLE

We found that this place was more 'institutional' than the others. The halls were not kept up (in terms of damage) as the others. The staff were absolutely lovely, but we did find it as warm as the others.

All is well with my mother Gertie Oldroyd. In her own words she is "content". At 100 years old that in itself is a blessing. The staff are doing a great job, are always bouncy and cheerful with Mum, she appreciates that. Her forgetfulness is nothing we can do anything about, still the staff act as her memory on many occasions. She enjoyed her 100th Birthday tea party (quote " what is the fuss about, I am only 100!") Nice Job all around Best Regards John and Estelle Oldroyd -son and daughter in law

We are pretty happy. It's really clean and the staff is friendly. Communication has been difficult at times, but it's been getting better. The food is excellent, it's really good. They must have a top of the line chef. We can pay a little extra to come and join them. You don't get a big portion, but you get an appetizer, and a small meal, with coffee and dessert, and it fills me up. I can call and tell them I'm coming down, and they will have her ready and dressed. They offer plenty of activities and entertainment. They are a little more expensive than some of the others, but I think sometimes you get what you pay for, and I haven't had any problems with billing or any hidden or extra fees.
