This service was very helpful to me and my family. Without this service I don't know where I would have started. It pointed us to the right area we wanted our mother to be with the income she had. We selected a place that they had provided in their search. Thank you

I like this community for the good care that I am receiving here at this nice community. The staff is so very caring and patient with my needs. The community is very clean and I like living here. The meals are good and I like the nice variety. They offer me activities with the other residents, I would highly recommend the care and the value for others to see the great care that is received here.

It’s a shame... what could have been a great place was maintained so poorly... to the point of repairs that are much more costly to afford and now requires annual rent increases beyond affordability for fixed income seniors *shingles and stucco falling off building *dated faulty heating cooling units *drafty sliding doors from moisture rot *many doorways and doors wedge and drag *moldy mossy insect infested wood on back units *leaky faucets and toilets *inefficient dryer venting *facility is not up to all safety codes *sidewalks are uneven and unsafe for walkers and wheelchairs with loose stone chips that can cause falls *hallway walls and carpets are old, stained and not vacuumed/shampooed often enough. *entryway doors are heavy and in disrepair. NOT AT ALL handicapped accessible *drop off area at entrance sidewalk and curbing is dangerous *three handicapped parking spaces for an entire 70 unit senior facility *parking lines and one-way arrows so faded that most don’t see them *VERY unsafe entrance/exit due from blind curve and speeding cars *Unqualified low bid workers were hired that were completely ignorant of safety codes and handicap accessibility needs. Their workmanship is embarrassingly shotty. *Resident requests and complaints get promises, followed by excuses and neglect. *Some good notes... I’ve experienced an awesome response from nursing staff from The Manor at Penn Village during a fire at the apartments. *They’ve also responded quickly to residents calling for help from the pull cords provided in each room. *Weis’ Market is directly located across the road but the only semi-safe crosswalk is located so far away, it is not at all convenient to a senior.

A Place for Mom has scored Pennsfield Senior Apartments 1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
