I met one of the aides and she was a super nice lady, and the Johnsons are great people. I give them credit for doing that job. They worked with us on finances. They took her places to mingle with other seniors, so she would stay social and engaged. They were very responsive and even stayed with her when she had to go to the hospital, and made sure she was able to go to the hospital she wanted. I liked that it was smaller and quainter, it was like living in a house. it had a small kitchen and the owners lived downstairs. There was something about walking into that place that made it feel homey. There was a little herb garden on the patio that the residents could tinker in if they want. The food is all home cooked, and good too, they would bring in fresh vegetables sometimes too.... Read more

Loved the house, the owner and location, but the cost is realistically out of my price range. They are asking $2,500 to start but would want more (didn't say how much more) if they would have to staff a midnight person to cover the night hours, which I know they would need to because my mom is more active between 11pm-7am with regards to having to go to the bathroom. She frequently urinates during the night hours (at least 3-5 times through the night). The day hours have less bathroom activity, but she needs help with everything else (dressing, bathing, food prep, dr. apt, etc).
