My Mom has been at Oakland Rehab for over 5 years and the place goes downhill every year. From the lack of staff, to the food and cleanliness. There is no supervision and some of the aides run wild doing nothing. I have made several attempts with meetings to clear up these matters but they fall on deaf ears. They are constantly letting the good employees go and keeping the ones that do nothing. The floors throughout the facility and bathroom are filthy dirty. They constantly loose clothes in the laundry. The kitchen is awful. They let good Managers, aides and nurses go because of lack of pay yet they have redone the first floor and are now putting up a wall to separate the Korean and American residents, . Why do I keep Mom there? Well... her regular(daily) nurse is awesome and she knows folks. Mom also has dementia and is very secure where she is at, since she doesn't really know what's going on around her. Not sure how she would adjust at another facility, But I have been looking!!! .

Very disappointed! We came for the 5 star rehab but I would barely give it 2 stars! The head of rehab was too arrogant to care about the patients! The actual rehab was not good enough. Then they sent our loved one home just barely walking. They still hadn't mastered the stairs and could barely get in their own home! How does the head of rehab sleep at night! The care wasn't much better! The weekend aides made our loved one wait almost 45 minutes for the bathroom until they went in their pants! Disgusting! Then they would leave the diaper on the floor! The family room sink was clogged for days! Gross! Find a better place!

While they Physical Therapy section may be great, the overall facility is a disaster. The rooms are dirty. The administration is not welcoming or friendly. They are understaffed and the residents have to deal with the lack of help. The Floor Nurses are great, but are overworked and there are always new per diem nurses who don't know what's going on and are Just there to do their job. The most friendly person is Janette at the desk who welcome you. After that your on your own! You definitely must be there for your loved ones. Not sure how they receive a 5 star rating.

I had great experiences with my nurses, Aides and PT staff. HOWEVER, the admin staff needs a dose of leadership. [names removed] particularly needs to be fired. They didn't file necessary paperwork and now I am owing money back to NJ Disability because of their ineptness, As a person that works, a person who knows how to help a business run I find this unacceptable! They have left me desperate.

They are very warm people. That goes from the nurses to the aides. They are just fantastic. I couldn't ask for a better place for my sister. She has been here five years as of April. The people here are like my family. I always recommend so many people to come here. I 100% recommend Oakland Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center.
