Thoughtfully designed and well-maintained, Northstar Square is a Navion Senior Solutions community offering assisted living and memory care services with personalized, attentive care in an inviting, familiar environment. Professional staff, including a full-time registered nurse, are on site and available to residents any time of day to provide help with medication and assistance with activities of daily living as needed. Residents also have access to exceptional amenities like massage therapy, art classes, a fitness room, an on-site beautician, and pet-focused programs! To help residents feel their very best, the community provides dietician-approved meals daily, on-site visits from a podiatrist and dentist, and emergency systems in each private apartment. No matter what level of care your loved one needs, your family can trust Northstar Square to take care of you.

It's a nice community! Everyone is friendly and caring and they are good about communicating issues. My mom really enjoys the activities especially special events. I wish the pricing was lower and that they offered off site activities. My mom has lived at several assisted living communities in metro Atlanta and this one is the best!

I couldn't be more pleased with the care my mother receives at Northstar Square. The CNA's are loving, caring and capable and always go the extra mile to meet her needs. The LPN on staff is also more than willing to do whatever it takes to care for Mother. We have a wonderful activities director who brightens the lives of all the residents. The lady in charge of food services provides delicious food, along with a loving and cheerful attitude. All the staff goes above and beyond to provide a nourishing environment for every resident. We truly feel like family here! I would highly recommended Northstar Square to anyone looking for a home for their loved one.

We're no longer at Northstar. Several factors led to our departure: change in management, personnel turnover, lack of activities, and price increase in 2024. I think their staff is doing the best they can but aren't trained to a high standard and are under paid. The facility layout is not conducive to outside activities, or guest ease of access to the facility. Senior executive position was unfilled for an extended duration so no one was available to discuss issues or execute changes.

I would say that they are very friendly. But the care is not what I expected it to be and it's because I believe they are understaffed. They have gone through new ownership, but they've had enough time to work out the kinks. The meals seem to be one of the biggest complaints by the residence especially my mother. When I look at the menu items, it's the same thing all the time. Chicken, ham and cheese sandwiches, a salad, some cake, chicken, ham and cheese sandwiches a salad some cake. I've never really seen other things like pizza or spaghetti. I've never seen things like hotdogs and coleslaw or hamburgers and french fries. I've never seen things like cut up fresh fruit. But the staff is very friendly

From the tour experience to everyday living, my mom gets her needs met. The staff truly do care for their residents like family. I see it first hand every time I visit. My mom's health and wellbeing has improved since she had been in the community. She likes to interact with the other residents and really loves the food! I recommend!

Our family had an in person tour with Northstar Square and we knew that it was not going to be the place for our loved one, the community was old and dirty.

All of them are 5's I was very pleased with this facility. I wish I would have found it earlier. When I interviewed with the director he had a representative from each department stop by to say hello and tell me about their department and their role. All staff I encountered seemed to genuinely care about the patients.

The staff members were wonderful - my grandmother feels very at home and happy there. They work specifically on motor skills with the residents - they have different activities like painting, crafts, games, tossing/catching balls, etc.

I visited daily and the facility was always spotless. The staff treated mom and I like family! They called us by name. Shift staff dropped in to speak and appeared right away when mom pressed the buzzer for help. Quality of care was excellent. The staff was experienced and available, I loved them. They truly bonded with our family. They took time to call when they had concerns also. A nurse was on staff and worked with mom and other staff. As for the food, mom didn't have much appetite. The chef came to her room to see what her preferences were and sent her meals that encouraged some eating. The facility had fun, engaging activities several times a week. It was good to see the residents engaged. We researched several places as a comparison before making a decision. Northstar Place was certainly value for the money. The care and other services they provided far exceeded the cost. They were priceless. Mom transitioned in September but we are so grateful for her time here.

They have had a lot of staff turnover in the leader ship and have not been great at communication. The new management has been very responsive so far. They don't have enough activities happening, but that is supposed to change soon

I don't even know where to start. We moved my mother in 5 months ago and she was mostly functioning. The Executive Director was the most incompetent person I have ever encountered. She called me 5 times after we moved my mother in to ask if we'd decided on Northstar yet. I asked her for monthly statements, but none came. A month ago, I get a call wanting to know when I was going to pay the $15000+ bill for the previous months. I told them that I had paid and sent copies of bank transfers and statements to show that the payments had cleared. Then I heard nothing until Friday night at 6:30 when I got an email saying I had to provide check numbers on the payments or they would send my info out for collections. They lost the payments and now they want to destroy MY credit? I finally got a statement on Saturday that shows a $19000+ balance. To say I am furious in an understatement. The nurse is great, but office staff gets an F. I do not recommend. No one needs the stress.

We had a really nice tour experience with Northstar Place, the facility is beautiful and the staff were so friendly. At the time because of covid, we would not have been able to visit him as often here as another place we were looking at. It is totally understandable, but we just did not want to be limited. It was also a little more expensive than the other place as well.

Don't even put your dog there. Our mother was there for a 30 day respite stay, and we took her out after a week because they just didn't do what we asked them to do or what we expected them to do for what we paid. All of their patients just languished in front of the TV all day. There were no activities. Our mom fell twice, and we were never able to get any explanation as to how she fell. Before placing her there, we had counted all of her medication. When we took her out, we determined that she got on average only 3-4 days of all of her medications. The only one she got consistently was her sleep aid. She was supposed to get 3 pain pills for day and got 4 for the whole week. We had enough Tylenol for 6 per day, and she got 10 the whole week. Aside from a few really good staff members, they just do not care. And they are seriously understaffed.

We entered Northstar late in COVID time, and from day one we felt as part of a family. Activities with [name removed] were awesome, Nursing support such as [names removed] and so many others were excellent, and treated us like family, Administration support with [name removed], and [name removed] kept everything easy, and the dining experiences were amazing with [name removed] and [name removed] keeping the entire facility operational! Everyone here loved on our family member so much, and us as well. So many times [names removed] would go out of there way to help and provide excellent care. We felt part of Northstar ourselves. The Life Enrichment director has done an excellent job with providing fun-field activities for all of the residents at NorthStar. Her passion for involving the residents with fun and rewarding activities are enriching their lives and are memorable. Her love for all is reflected with encouraging comments, her smile and the joy she displays working with each individual resident.

We did a virtual tour with Northstar Place because of covid. The location was great and the facility was very nice. The staff members were all friendly, so it was comparable to the one we chose. I just knew people at the other location we were looking at so we went with that one.
