Immediate & Non Caring Eviction

Be aware if you, or a Family member, are considering 'The Peninsula' in Sidney, B.C., as a Assisted Living retirement residence. The British Columbia Government, Assisted Living Registry, has recently completed an investigation, and has found The Peninsula to be Non-Compliant to the regulations. See Complaint # C2023-530. Management and Staff failed to develop an 'Exit Plan' as required, in association with the tennant, family, and others as noted, and forced an immediate, uncaring, and non-professional EVICTION. We simply received a phone call to come and pick up our aging mother 'right now'. How caring is that? Our Family do not recommend The Peninsula.

We visited the Norgarden and had a tour. Our guide, Leslie, the assistant manager, was professional, pleasant and personable with all staff and residents. She was very thorough in explaining all the amenities. She was very knowlegable and answered our questions very honestly. It was very clear the Norgarden are very much a family of support. We note on this site that the advertisement states Norgarden offers wheelchair accesible showers which contradicts the fact that Norgarden & The Peninsula do not offer the care level required for someone in a wheelchair. The ad was misleading. Otherwise this facility would have been perfect.
