New Horizon Board and Care IV

Mom stayed at New Horizon Board and Care in Rural Ridge Anaheim Hills.I’ve probably written this letter a hundred times in my head but it never seems to convey the deep gratitude that my Father and I feel towards [Name removed] and [Name removed] they are very caring and loving to my mom. The knowledge and confidence of [Name removed] and [Name removed] the owner, helped me keep my shoulders on straight and understand the process of dying. The love and compassion from everyone on you staff made us feel like we were not alone and had a family to share this with. My mother’s exit was exactly what I had hoped for, and he was as comfortable and pain free as is possible. I can’t thank you enough for that. We will continue to support you through our words and deeds. Our love to all of you. Thank you so much for your excellent care.

Have come across some issues and not happy with this facility.

My mother lived in the New Horizon Board and Care home located in Anaheim Hills for the last year of her life, having come there after living six years in assisted living. She was wheelchair bound at that point, at age 89, and needed additional care because of it. My mother deserved the best, and received the best. The home is spotless, she had her own cheery bedroom, and they cook home made meals that were delicious. I should know - I visited Mom every few days and it felt like home to me and to my mother. The caregivers, Michelle and John, were truly a gift, treating their residents with patience, kindness and love. The owner, Mel, a former critical care nurse, is top notch and oversees all of her homes with great care - well aware of the needs and concerns for both her residents and their loved ones. My mother was always well groomed, wearing her cute wardrobe that followed her everywhere (she was a fashion nut), happy, joking with the caregivers. I know she was cared for in the best possible way - more than I could have ever done, and that's saying a lot. I wanted the best for my mother, and she received it. Enough said :)
