My mom was at a large, expensive facility before. Although it was a lovely place, there were too many people and constantly changing caregivers, and it was overwhelming for her to deal with. She never really adjusted in the two years she was there. She has quickly adjusted to the group home environment, and just loves the caregivers at New Era! She feels comfortable (much more than before) and has been much happier interacting with a smaller group of people. Great people, and a home kept in great repair and very clean. Highly recommended.... Read more

Caregivers are wonderful! Food somewhat monotonous but is being fixed. Had been getting rides to medical appointments, but that has stopped and was getting prescriptions picked up but unsure of future. These were high on my list of which place to pick. Rooms are large: have queen bed, chest of drawers, might stand, bureau and small end table.and closet. Have wifi and 5 g internet Rooms are pretty sound proof..which is great for me since I'm hard of hearing and to crank up the sound. And cable TV

When we toured this home, we quickly realized it was not for my husband. It was not very handicap accessible. The person that took us around was friendly and helpful, but because my husband is in a wheelchair it was not a good fit.

They are very friendly and very patient with the residents. In terms of things that need improvement, the carpet could stand to be shampooed maybe, it's not terrible but maybe a couple of times a year. Overall, the bathrooms and kitchen are clean and well put together. The caregivers have hearts pure of gold, but there is one in particular that has back problems and is unable to lift X amount of pounds. She is kind and gentle with the residents, and I understand, but I think that it's important to be physically fit in this industry. Everyone there seems to be well within their right mind, which was necessary for my grandmother. It's a very upbeat home with a good variety and mix of residents.
