First of all, they lied about monthly excursions (they don't even have a bus or any other form of transportation). Second, the food was not nutritional. My mother ended up in the hospital, she ended up being septic from poor dressings that the staff were applying and the doctors confirmed she also was malnourished. The place had bed bugs and we had to replace all of mother's belongings. They also allowed the residents whom smoked to do so at the front entrance and with mothers room beside the lobby, she couldn't open her window as the smoke would enter her room. I would deter anyone from considering this facility.

My mother is a current resident at Mulcaster Mews and the experience has been fair, so far. The staff at this facility are very friendly. However, the food is poor quality and the portions are very small.

We were at Mulcaster Mews at a very unique period of time. It was during covid so there were not many activities provided at all for the residents. I think more socialization would have made my loved one happier, but I understand why they could not do anything. I could not go visit him either.

The staff have been so extremely friendly and that has been my brothers shining light through this all. The food has been a major issue, but other than that it has been a good experience and I would recommend them to others looking.

The staff members are really nice and very caring towards the residents which is great. The charge nurse is always good with returning calls and relaying any information about our loved one. She has always made us feel welcomed and they have been on top of covid protocols and having no positive cases, they are really protecting the residents.

It's a beautiful place to live. My mom was at another home in Barrie and when she broke her hip she was not welcomed back. We found Mulcaster Mews. Mulcaster sent their nurse to do an assessment of mom at the hospital to make sure they can look after her needs. I can't say enough about how caring the staff is at Mulcaster. They go beyond the call of duty. The home is small but cozy and mom felt comfortable right from the beginning. She has recovered from her hip surgery and enjoying her stay there.

The home needs to be cleaned up. Dirty carpets that should be removed and laminate flooring put in. Carpets can’t be kept clean especially in facilities like this. Food is not great . Mostly sandwiches for dinner. Hot meal at lunch only. Not much in the way of activities.

They really care about the residents and because they are smaller they are able to provide better care then the bigger homes.

Mom has lived here for some months now and has greatly improved. She is still frail, but able to manage on her own with the walker. The loving care she receives contributes to this I’m sure. Also, the food is very good and visitors are welcome. The front foyer is a bit small for all the folks who like to sit there instead of the large activity room.
