As we first viewed Mount Carmel we were very impressed with the the cleanliness of the home. Touring the facility we couldn't help but feel like we were home. The staff were exceptional in their politeness and friendliness, their care went above and beyond what is required of them. You can tell they were genuine, that is was a labour of love and not duty. Residents rooms are very spacious and bright with plenty of natural light, and with older but high quality furnishings. Nice to see kitchenettes on each floor for the residences to make a coffee or tea, or to have a cold drink or snack from the fridges provided. The dining room is very spacious and comfortable, the meals are great with a lot of variety to choose from. For those of a spiritual nature it was wonderful to see such a beautiful church attached to the home. We are so grateful that our father is in such a place to be cared for. All that Mount Carmel has to offer is excellent.... Read more

Very nice facility, clean and inviting. As it is an older building there is no wheelchair access, which did not pertain to us. Staff was very friendly and open. As it is run by Nuns there is a lot of religious items on all the walls but not in rooms. Rooms come fully furnished and has 1 meal sitting which is nice as it makes it feel more homey.
