There is no communication between shifts, lack of management. The CNA's are lazy and do as little as possible. It seems the place runs itself with little oversight. Not the top rated place as portrayed on its website. Medications are not given on a timely consistent basis. They need to have better choices for food. Breakfast is usually good, it is the other meals that need to be better. Activities are nonexistent on weekends and limited during the week. They just need more time spent with the residents.

My mom is a resident at Morada Lawton. She complains about the food, but it has been good when we've eaten there. She does want soup available to her for lunch and dinner, like chicken noodle soup, stew, or potato soup.

There was one nurse that was a little rough with my mom. Other than that, the care was wonderful. I was very happy with Morada Lawton overall. They were awesome and helpful!

The staff is very involved with the residents and the families of the residents. Cleanest of all the other facilities. Staff is more professional and compassionate than the other facilities.

Morada wasn't what I expected when trying to find a place for my loved one to thrive in. I was hesitant to even place her in a facility as I didn't want her to experience possible horror stories about facilities not taking care of their residents. However, Morada ended up being the perfect choice due to their community and mindset of residents first when providing care. Staff are attentive and listen to concerns and the residents are not pressured to participate in activities or meals, which gives some autonomy back for them. I picked this community for a couple of reasons: 1. Moradas memory care unit is a overall base rate of care. It does not increase based on a person's severity of their dementia. 2. The community upon entering felt more homey. It is not designed like a resort, rather a nice cozy living room or church fellowship hall without the religious aspect (at least for the memory care side). 3.Morada has virtually unrestricted access to your loved one for visitation and trips. We were concerned about not having accessibility to my loved one where she lived.

I actually called two places and had phone conversations with each. The person I talked with at this place was able to answer all my questions with a very caring and knowledgeable voice. The other place was lacking somewhat in those areas - especially the knowledge part.

We toured Morada Lawton when searching for a Memory Care facility for our loved one. I really liked this facility. It was a clean facility and seemed well run. It was farther away, larger non-refundable deposit and basically more expensive for the limited funds that I had.
This was a terrible experience. My loved one experienced, lack of care and lack of proper care. It was a nightmare. My loved one was not given her meds properly or cleaned properly. I would not recommend.

My loved one did not get a chance to move in. We picked this community because it felt like home. It had a warm feeling. I would recommend to other families.

This has been a good experience. The staff have been really good at communicating with the family about our loved one. The staff have been good at helping my loved one get settled into the community. There is a calendar of activities for the residents to choose from each day. Crafts, movies, games, and more are some of the activities offered for the residents to participate in.

Ten Oaks Place looked to be a very nice facility. We were looking for a smaller facility that was more comfortable and homey feeling. Here it seems more cooperate and it was also more expensive than we were able to afford.

The marketing and nursing staff are amazing. It's nice, it's clean, it has good security. My loved one loves it. She tells me move on in. Considering it's long distance, the staff does everything to help me out with concerns and getting updates as best as they can.

We had a good tour at Ten Oaks Place. It was definitely s larger facility, and very busy with activities. They had an obvious activities schedule, which made it clear what was going on and when. Really the only reason we didn't choose them is they were not certified to receive Advantage Care from the state for residents who qualify financially. And we didn't want to have to move our loved one later on.
Read MoreWe would recommend the Ten Oaks Place to others, our loved one is being well cared for there. We aren't to sure about the meals but we do know the dining hall is nice, and they do have nice activities for the residents. The value for cost is really good especially with everything they have to offer.

We virtually toured Ten Oaks Place and everything went great, the facility is very nice. I had told them that we were not in a rush and they seemed to call me everyday and just made me feel rushed so we backed out.
Though my parents chose not to go to an assisted living facility the assistance/information provided by [name removed] was invaluable and greatly appreciated.

Ten Oaks isolated both my grandparents all year. They refused to let me see my grandpa when he was dying until the hospice nurse got angry on our behalf. We went through my grandpa’s window to clean his room a few months ago because it was absolutely filthy. When my mom called to get an appointment to see my grandmother at Christmas, she was told only window visits were allowed. When she mentioned that my grandma doesn’t have a window, she was told “Merry Christmas” and hung up on. One of the employees gave my grandma Covid. She will likely die. Please explain to me how isolating my grandparents from their family has improved their quality of life at all??
