Montage Creek

I selected Montage because I was very impressed with it and it certainly met my expectations. Because of a long-running a family dispute about her care, I was not able to have her cared for at Montage until 3 days before she died. The staff were all extremely kind and gave her excellent care while she was in the final stages of dying, even though they didn't know her and she was not able to respond to their care. They treated her with kindness and respect as if they knew her. I brought family pictures and flowers, and they asked me questions so they could know a little about who she was. They tried to engage her in talking about her family. I felt their care deeply They were also very kind to me, although they did not know me. I am incredibly grateful for the staff's interest and care, particularly because I was alone telling my mother that I loved her. I was saying goodbye to her for me and her whole family (who couldn't or wouldn't be there). She had a very hard early life, lost two husbands, and then lost herself to dementia. She deserved the kindness of the strangers at Montage who made her final days comfortable and secure and truly cared for. They didn't know her, but they gave her all the care of someone they did know. When I first got there after she arrived, I came into her room where she had been bathed and her hair had been nicely combed and styled. I was incredibly touched. I will always be grateful for their amazing care in a very hard time for families and staff. I haven't been able to describe this before, and I am doing so now because I want people to know how wonderful Montage was for us. I would like to say how grateful I am and will always be for finding Montage. I highly recommend Montage and all the staff members for their kindness and support to our family. They were amazing at helping us visit comfortably, join in activities, and engage in meaningful conversations about our family.

Do not like this place. I went to visit my grandma and a lady came in named [name removed] that was very rude and smelled like cigarettes and it was not appealing to my grandma. She acted and looked like she was drunk or on drugs and I am not very pleased with this place. Working on getting my grandma out of there. Tried to talk to the staff about not having [name removed]be there but my grandma said she is still there. If you are drunk or on drugs how can you take care of my grandma. I use to hear good things about the staff but this visit has me feeling very differently. You hope your loved ones are in a place they feel well taken care of. Not treated bad and worried how someone will treat you.

We give a 5 rating on all areas so far. The staff is good but they need more help usually. We live in the independent cottages and they are perfect size for us. I would recommend Montage Creek to others looking.

Location, facilities, staff. My loved one got very good care from the staff and Hospice. Also, my loved one was not there very long before they passed. I appreciate what they did for my loved one.

I think is a great property and community. I do think opportunities with the staff could be better, have to keep asking to get some things addressed multiple times. Cleaning his sheets and his room we have to end up cleaning after them several times. Overall is a decent experience, just a few things that could use enhancements.

My mother was at Sunrise Creek for the last year of her life. It was terrible. The director was cold and unfeeling, the prices were astronomical, and the services provided were severely lacking. She was in memory care about the last six months before she passed away and I'm so so sorry Montrose didn't have a better place for her to spend her final days. I can't speak to the change to Montage Creek, but it certainly would have to be better than Sunrise Creek was.

Brookdale at first encounter was impressive by all the decor.. Other than that it was very poorly run. The charges were huge and often charged without the services being done. The staff were nice however I saw a lot of standing around visiting with each other. Charged for laying out clothes in the morning but found that many times the clothes worn were dirty. Housekeeping was poor. Finally I had to vacate as toilet seat was dirty and that was the last straw. Beware of the promises and question the charges. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

They suck you in with false discounts and once you are there they stick you will a lot more charges like $839 a month just to dispense pills to my mother! She could do it herself but they won't let her. Also, if you get your own meds from your own pharmacists they charge you money for that. They make you get your meds from who they say so! Obviously they are getting kickbacks from the pharmacy they make you use! Is that even legal???

My mom likes living in a safe place and her room is nice and bright. She has met some interesting people. The meals are like institutional food, she is not too impressed. But we are very happy with the community and we feel good about them. The staff are knowledgeable and paying a lot of attention to her. This community was the winner by location.

This looked like a nice community when I toured it. The only issues I had with with this community were the size of the rooms in the dementia unit and the cost is really high. The rooms reminded me of a college dorm. The staff I met were nice and they offered daily activities.

I like how friendly everyone is here at the Brookdale Sunrise Creek. The place is very clean and they have a good variety of activities. I really like going to bingo nights. The food, on most days, is very good.

So far, we're not terribly impressed. Our mother now needs adult diapers. We are told Brookdale can't provide those; the family will have to do it. Today is a holiday and she feels as though she has a UTI. we are told they can't do anything about it until tomorrow. What do people without families do? Wet their pants and suffer an extra day? We feel like we can't even leave town for the weekend!

Brookdale Sunrise Creek was very good. The value was fine. They did really good all the way around. The staff was wonderful and tried very hard. I would give them a gold star.

They were able to get him in and I thought it was a godsend because we needed someone real fast and they got him in fast and took really good care of him and I have no issues at all with the facility

Pleased so far with staff, seems attentive and feels like a good place for patient. Wish they were a little more technology up to date so that better communication with family. Would like to get an electronic email of monthly activities .

I don't know what to compare it to in terms of value, but I think it's good. I like the fact that I don't have to worry about her. Someone goes in there atleast 10 times a day, she gets three meals a day, someone comes in and cleans. She has a pull cord in case of an emergency. They help in and out of bed during the night. They take her to the grocery store. There is an onsite salon, and they do pedicures. They take her to doctors' appointments. They would actually go with her. It's located ten miles from my house, which is great. The executive director, the lady in marketing, the head nurse, the physical therapist communicate with me extremely well.

At Emeritus at Sunrise Creek, they were all very helpful with my dad. They were very concerned, and really cared. I had no issues at all.
