What a relief to have our loved one well taken care of!

We had a really good experience with Mission Oaks - so much better than with a previous facility our loved one was at. It's a clean friendly atmosphere with caring personnel. They're always really friendly and took care of our loved one very well. They have people who have been there a number of years. The nurses call with updates, which we didn't get at the previous place. They really kept us informed of his needs. He had a really nice room, and it was kept clean. They had a lot of activities. They would even take the residents on shuttle rides to nowhere, which allowed memory care residents to get out yet still kept them safe. He felt at home there.... Read more

A wonderful place for Mom

Mission Oaks was a blessing. We had seen and been through many other facilities in the area and settled in Mission Oaks for not only it's quiet charm, but the warm and friendly caregivers, the experienced and dedicated leadership who are available to help at any time. The staff has been there a long time and they really go above and beyond to make the residents safe and happy. It's a gem! No complaints or regrets here. It was a great decision.

A Warm, Friendly Place

My parents moved from northern Wisconsin to Mission Oaks Assisted Living about 18 months ago. My husband and I looked at many facilities, but when we walked into Mission Oaks we both looked at each other and said, "this is it". The atmosphere was homey, and the many staff and residents we met were so friendly and welcoming. The best thing was that everyone seemed happy! My parents and our family were made to feel such a part of their family. Staff are so caring, and very quick to respond to questions or concerns. When my dad became very ill Mission Oaks and Cornerstone Hospice worked together to make his last months as comfortable as possible, and his face lit up with a smile when any of the staff came into his room. After his passing I thought it might be difficult for mom to remain with all the memories, but as she says, "this is my home, these are my friends, and this is where I am staying". She loves the many activities, socializing with her neighbors, and helping out when she can. Even though she is so busy that we have to check her schedule well in advance before taking her out, we love that she is close by, as independent as possible, and most of all so happy! Five stars for Mission Oaks!!!

Family feel at Mission Oaks

Mom has been at Mission Oaks for three and a half years and she and her family are thrilled with the facility. The environment is clean, well run and the staff is friendly, outgoing, helpful and encouraging not only to mom but to our family as well. It truly has a family-feel and the staff makes a good effort to include the residents in activities to promote mental and physical wellness. Prior to living at Mission Oaks, mom was hospitalized repeatedly for multiple health reasons. Since she has been living at the Assisted Living facility, she has not been hospitalized at all and the staff is proactive to correct issues that may impact her health. We cannot say enough about [name removed] and her excellent team.

Not a family community as advertised.

My parents lived there for over a year. It was good at first, however, the end of life situation was very cold and business like. I would not recommend the place.

I could not have picked a better place

The community is immaculate. They offer some nice activities and the food is excellent. The staff have been friendly and personable. There have been the same staff members since the community opened. They have also added some more good staff members. I have already recommended this community.

A good fit for mom!

Mom is adjusting very well since her move in. Everything so far has been excellent. The staff I wonderful, and the facility is very clean at all times. When I toured prior to moving my mother in, the thing I liked the most was that it is a smaller more intimate place, rather than a very large place.

[Removed], the sales rep, gave us a great tour and explained fully, to our satisfaction, the different tiers of assisted care provided at Mission Oaks. We had a great tour of the rooms and grounds. Very nice. Then we took Dad to tour the next day. After mulling over everything, he decided the facility was the place for him. We are greatly appreciative for aPlaceforMom's help with finding Mission Oaks.

Deal breaker!

The community looked really good. It reminded me of the other places. My big thing though is the staff and how well they take care of my family. I did not get to meet any staff and that was the deal breaker.

Runner up!

I was able to speak with the people here and they were very nice and was able to tell me about what they had to offer. I was pleasantly surprised with this place. This would have been my second choice.

Good Tour, Bad Location For Us to Travel

I toured this community for my parents and their needs. It was a nice tour, I enjoyed it. The community looked nice and clean. The staff was friendly and kind. There were many factors that played into where to place my parents. One of those factors were location. This location wasn't very convenient for our families to travel. It was pleasant tour.

From what I have seen, I think it is a very good place for my husband. He attends 'day care' so I am not there to witness how things are run. He seems satisfied with it and does not complain. He says everyone is nice, especially some of the residents he has met.
