The value for cost - costly (but appreciate not worrying about my Father in Law). We would give the friendliness of the staff a 5 plus! What we like the most about the community is the safety and quality of care are appreciated. Not happy about new owner and taking away the assisted living program. Dad is 98 and we picked Mission Commons for if he did need help as an older resident. Also Dad loves playing pool - might be taking that away ( new owner).... Read more

It was great before COVID, but after shutting in the residents for a full year, and changes in management, it was no longer a welcoming place. My mom's carpet was held down by duct tape for a year. They never cleaned the carpet and we finally paid to have it done. The staff was hostile at times, as my mom was suffering from dementia before we finally moved her to a better place. Generally, the facility is nice. My mom liked the food and the other residents were kind and friendly. Important to remember -- they raised the rent the maximum every year. We started at [fee removed] in 2019 and increased to [fee removed]by 2024. They will gouge you if they can. Find another place

My mom has been residing at Mission Commons for almost 3 months, but it feels like almost a year. I mean this in a good way. The staff and residents are approachable and welcoming. Her caregivers have compassion and understanding towards seniors. They help take care of her pets. So appreciated! And, the food is excellent! Most importantly, my mom is thriving. She loves her apartment, the people, food and facility.

Everyone seemed very pleasant and professional.... Genuine concern and care for the residents, frosted with professionalism should be the hallmark of every manager/employee. Food/Meals are challenging....maybe take regular questionnaires to discover the needs/wants of the residents.

Some of the staff are nice, the food is mostly bad, and it is too expensive.

May 6, 2024Ron, thank you for sharing your experience. The General Manager is available to further discuss your concerns. If you would like to be put in touch, please email me at CustomerService@AtriaSeniorLiving.com.
There isn't a buy in, it's not a huge deal in many ways, but if they'd told me what was going on, I'd have picked a different place. It was fine until they announced on Wednesday that they're no longer providing assisted living, only independent living. Dad doesn't need assisted living yet, but I moved him there so if he gets to that point he wouldn't have to move. It feels like a bait and switch. Someone had to know about it when I got him moved in and we talked about not having to move him again, but now I'm having to look at contingencies.

I like that they have caregiving options and receptionists. I don't like that they've raised their rent and other charges.

1. SOME of the Management treats us as small child, with no mind...disrespectful, 2. If you have mail or packages delivered, to the lobby, you MAY HAVE TO WAIT up to 2 weeks to get them. These are also Medical Appointment cards. 3. Flowers were delivered at 11am, but were NOT delivered until 2pm. 4. The regular staff IS wonderful, but 3 of the Managers are horrible!

I have been letting everyone know how much I love it here at Mission Commons. I have been to other places, and they do not measure up. Missions Commons is totally professional, and they do care for their residents.

June 30, 2023It is our pleasure to treat each and every one of our residents like family at Holiday Mission Commons. We appreciate your kind compliments!
My friend has had an overall good experience with Holiday Mission Commons. The staff are super friendly, approachable, and helpful towards the residents and visitors. There are meals and activities to assist with socialization of the residents. Overall, this has been a good experience for my friend and it is a community I would recommend to others.

I had a relative that worked for this community and my parents visited this community before being moved out of state. I lived in Redlands for most of my life. This is a very clean community, and caring staff. Highly recommend it.

Overall, the staff has been great! I wish more efforts/attempts were made to engage and get my uncle out of his room to participate with others in scheduled in-house events. Lastly, I'm hearing from other residents, that food needs some improvement.

Holiday Mission was a very good experience for our family and what made it such a great experience were the staff members. The feedback we received over the meals and dining was that the quality and variety was mediocre. However we would recommend this community to other families.

The staff and team is awesome, the care is great and my loved one is doing well. The management is who I am having issues with though. I went down to pay the bills and they did not disclose about $2500 of extra fees that I had to pay. I think they need to be more up front about that in the beginning. I would tell others to make sure and ask about that before signing paperwork.
I toured this facility and it's great!
The communication with the staff was excellent. They did great at everything they did.

Mission Commons management communicated a move in amount and monthly rent to my aunt who moved in earlier this year. Once she signed the agreement, the amounts began to change. The changes cost her almost 10K in additional fees. The facility advertises transportation services. My aunt got a ride to the doctor once and was left there. She was given a number to call for pick up and it was disconnected. Thank goodness I was available to come pick her up, or she would have been left standing on the street corner alone and forgotten by the employees of Mission Commons. The worst part about Mission Commons is the food. They advertise fresh chef prepared meals. The truth is, there is never enough food and residents often have the choice of just a bowl of rice or a peanut butter sandwich. My aunt has had food poisoning three times since moving in and is currently struggling with malnutrition. No one will talk about the starvation occurring because they are afraid of management.

A Place for Mom has scored Mission Commons 9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
