Millview of Latham

I would highly recommend Millview. The staff is terrific. They are responsive and communicate well. The residence are friendly and always waiving and saying "hi"!

It was smaller and fit her personality well. She loves that everyone knows her name and is very content there. She's been living there a couple of years now. My mother-in-law is very happy there. Everyone knows her name and she feels like she belongs.

My loved one was previously a resident at Millview of Latham and the experience at this facility was great for us. My loved one is now in a nursing home due to an increase in care needs. However, I would highly recommend Millview of Latham and have to those who have inquired.

Our family is very happy with the facility! In addition to us being very happy with the facility, more importantly, so is our Dad! We have already recommend Millview of Latham to other families based on our experience and we will continue to recommend

It is a nice community but they could use some remodeling and with the meals they are just not good - that is one of our loved ones biggest complaint but we do believe they are currently working on revising that situation and are open to different suggestions.

They are wonderful. They have been very good, and responsive with the care services. The community is affordable. Everyone speaks when you walk-in, it's smaller community and feels like home. I would recommend to other families. It's been a relief, having my loved one in a place where they are happy.

We chose this community because of the location, the size of the community, it is not too big, as well as the price fit our budget. They also have different size rooms you can choose from based on what you want. They love it here, but the food is something they said that they could use some improvement on. It seems like the meals are very redundant daily. The best part about the community so far would be how accommodating they were to visitors before COVID. The staff is more than friendly and my mom said she couldn't ask for nicer people who work here. I would recommend the community.

Before the Covid-19 pandemic, I visited the community daily and I rarely saw anything that needed attention; they were constantly cleaning. The staff knows all the residents' names and character. They also seemed to be quite friendly to all the visitors as well. The assisted care they offer is good, although only up to a certain level. Definitely a community for more mobile seniors. They had activities available and did well with what they could given the varying abilities of the residents. The activities director is more than friendly, you can tell she really loves her job.

Very clean, food is good , employees are very helpful and friendly.

Needed to find a place to watch over my Mom. Found Millview through A Place for Mom. Was exactly what we needed for her at this time of her life. The staff have been extremely friendly , caring and knowledgeable. Would recommend anyone to check them out if they are looking for an assisted living facility for their loved one.

Millview both administration and staff have been easy and wonderful to work with.

A family member has lived at Millview for 15 months and I visit her regularly. I have witnessed many interactions between the staff and the residents and I can honestly say there is a genuine kindness, respect and helpfulness toward all the residents. There is a prevailing sense that the facility is very well run and the food service, health services and activities are well organized. There is also good communication between the staff and family members when ever issues might arise. Parts of the building, particularly the front entrance, could use some cosmetic updating but other than that, Millview gets an A+ rating from me.

I think they do a good job overall at Millview of Latham! It is a nice looking, clean, well kept facility, and the staff have all been very friendly. I think they do a particularly good job with the meal service! The food is good, and the service is fast.

This community is a great fit for my dad. It's a smaller facility like 55 rooms so it's not overwhelming. Everyone is very friendly. It's just a great place. This was a good choice for sure. My overall rating of this property is 5 stars. I rate the cleanliness 5 stars. I rate the friendliness 5 stars. I rate the value 5 stars. I rate the care services 5 stars. I rate the activities 4 stars. I would recommend this community.

Millview has not been able to provide heat to some of the resident's rooms on a consistant basis this winter. Several times the heat has gone off in some of the rooms, especially on frigid nights, resulting in room temps dropping into the low 60s. Residents have been instructed to leave the door to their rooms open when this happens, so the heat from the hallway can help heat their rooms! Of course, this means they no longer have privacy. And, of course, no reduction in the monthly rent has been offered to the residents who have suffered thru the unheated nights! I find this situation totally unacceptable.

It was really cute, and small. It was independent and very homey. The people really seemed to like it there.

Second choice. Assisted living if necessary. Lovely courtyards, residents about weeding, visiting, no order in facility. Larger rooms available, walking paths. LPN's on duty, small resident capacity. Lots of areas for small gatherings or simple get-aways to read, etc.

Very nice. Lots of comfortable and attractively furnished common areas. Large community room on lower level. Nice outside space. Cook uses vegetables from outside garden. Staff seemed very professional and caring. PT on site.
