The activities are also the best that I have seen from the various communities in the Twin Cities. It feels like a community!!... Read more

First, top management/corporate is for profit so they run building with the minimum amount of staff with no regards to residents. Just ask.them about the medication errors that they have no time to track or train staff. Corporate has no training for staff. Also just try to get a call back from corporate clinical... don’t call until state gets involved.

When we moved our mother to Maple Hills, she had very limited mobility and was beginning to have memory issues. The nice facility and ala-carte services seemed the perfect solution. The services that we paid for were not performed. Bi-weekly shower, laundry, medicine management, escort to meals, help with dressing and undressing, help with toilet. Our mother's medication was not administered reliably and she ended up in the hospital. She did not receive a shower for the first 10 days. Her laundry wasn't done. She was forgotten in her room several times for meals and was given a sandwich several hours after meal time. The call buttons weren't answered in a timely manner and we had several occasions when the night/weekend staff didn't answer at all. Little to no supervision for inexperienced workers on the evenings and weekends. This is no place for a vulnerable adult.

Grandpa love the community environment they have. Lots of activities to keep him busy. They even add in his ideas on the monthly calendar. He really likes that.

My mom has been living at Maple Hill Senior Living for around 7 months now. I know many of the health staff by name now. They take such good care of her. My mom really feels attended to. I was worried about having her go into an assisted living, I didn't know if it was the right time, but it really feels like home for her.

Quality of care is fantastic. Mother has been receiving one-on-one care since she has moved in. She is happy, smiling, and she seems to have more energy. I'm really impressed with the amount of individualized attention she receives there.

I absolutely love Maple Hill Senior Living! Beautiful, elegant facility and my aunt who recently moved in has been charmed by the community. Not to mention, food is delicious. Last week when I was there visiting they had this great steak, cheesy garlic mashed potatoes, with a vegetable medley. Seasoning was so tasty. My aunt has been enjoying the activities a lot. They are always up to something new. Building has a great aura and energy to it! So happy my aunt found her new home at Maple Hill.

We were very disappointed with the care our loved one received from Memory Care at Maple Hill. On multiple occasions, the staff [Return] to return clothing and bedding items to the proper rooms. We lost blankets and multiple clothing articles this way. The aides did not engage the residents or follow the scheduled activities. The nursing staff failed to comply with the doctor’s orders to treat a physical condition in our loved one, even after multiple calls and reminders. This particular condition then spread and became nearly fatal. Maple Hill had our loved one transported to an Emergency Room with no identifying information, nor were they available to answer the ER doctor’s calls for well over an hour. The ER doctor had no knowledge of our loved one’s dementia and was able to recognize it only after our loved one had been put in restraints. Now that we have moved our loved one to a new home, Maple Hill is refusing to refund monies owed. We are very concerned for the other residents at Maple Hill-particularly those in Memory Care who cannot speak for themselves.

Beautiful facility!! I am thankful my father has found a healthy and safe home to live in. The staff is always available to answer my questions, and they made our move in process so much easier. I had no idea what I was getting into, and this was a big decision for my dad and our family. I'm thankful that I had the staff to lean on for advice. They are welcoming, knowledgeable, and sincere.

Ask the staff if they would be comfortable with their parents living in this facility. This place should not be allowed to function as a senior living facility. They show no dignity or compassion towards the seniors citizens that reside here. You walk into an occupied room and it's a complete mess. the bathroom is another story with feces stains on and around the toilet and floor. You can't get anyone to pick up the phone let alone return a phone call. Please shop around and allow time to review/interview staff and clients before deciding on a place for your loved ones to live out their final years. Don't fall for the old trick "we only have a few units left and the applications keep coming" it's a bunch of hogwash. This place will never be full and if they keep it up the state will come in and shut them down.

Loved it! My mother loves living here and I love that she lives there. The building is brand new, and she is treated with great care and kindness. It is right next to the shopping mall and that makes me happy that she can go there if she ever feels like she needs a change of scenery.

Response from Maple Hill Senior Living
October 11, 2016Thank you so much for your review and feedback. It is certainly a nice advantage to be so close to Maplewood Mall - but we are also very close to other shopping and restaurant options, the Maplewood Public Library, as well as St. John's Hospital and many other medical clinics and options for our residents. This proximity helps our residents get easy access to services and care, but also helps keep our residents involved and engaged in their community. Thank you again for your kinds words - I will pass your comments along to our other team members. If you have other needs or would like to share additional feedback, please feel free to call me anytime at [removed] or via email at [removed]. Thanks, Christina Marshall
The staff was great help and very welcoming. I would definitely send my grandma to live here. Inviting clean and lots of activities and good food for her to eat!

Response from Maple Hill Senior Living
April 11, 2016Thank you so much for your kind comments! It is so important as a new senior living community to receive feedback - both positive & negative - from our residents and family members...without this feedback we cannot learn and grow as a community. Thank you for entrusting Maple Hill with the care of your mother! If you should ever need anything, you can reach us at [removed]. Christina Marshall Marketing Director
Called and left message for a tour and received no response. Emailed and got no response. We decided to stop in and see if we could get a tour. Stood in the entryway looking for a button for service and couldn't find one. No employees in sight. A resident opened the door and let us in. No employees in sight and office closed. Walked around for a while and saw two residents bored staring off into space. Saw an elevator open with no one around. Finally saw an employee who ignored us and went on her way. Beautiful facility but obviously has staffing issues. We left and have no interest whatsoever now. Very disappointing.

Response from Maple Hill Senior Living
February 23, 2016Dear Disappointed, Thank you for your review. It is incredibly important to us at Maple Hill Senior Living to ensure that every experience visitors have at our community is a positive one. Since opening our community is December 2015 we have had received a flood of inquiries – we apologies profusely if your inquiry was missed. If you are still interested in a personal consultation and tour of Maple Hill, I would like to personally invite you to join us for lunch (on us of course) and stay for a consultation and tour – please call me directly at [removed] cell or [removed] office, to arrange a time to visit our community. As a brand new community there are certainly times when the community will be quieter than others, especially outside of normal business hours when our administrative staff is out of the office – however please rest assured that our community does have excellent staffing levels and we will continue to add more staff to our community as we continue to grow. We would like to thank you for providing your review to our community as it allows an opportunity to recognize and improve upon our policies and procedures and provide additional training to our staff to help improve the experience for our residents, their families, and visitors to our community. Again, please feel free to reach out to me directly with any additional concerns you may have. Warmest Regards, Christina Marshall, Marketing Director
