They employ any warm bodies they can…

My mother was placed in this facility for hospice care. One day into her stay & someone on the night shift stole her ring! Who steals from a person in hospice much less at all?! I have requested for the camera footage to be pulled for the timeframe it went missing & I’ve yet to get a call back from the administrative team with this info. If they have nothing to hide why are they not responding? I am outraged that they are not accepting responsibility for the low lives they employ. The night staff consisted of 20 something yr olds whose response when asking for something was “what do you want” with attitude no less. It always felt a bother to ask them for something as simple as water for my mother. No one should be treated this way especially while going through a situation of a dying parent. Every patient should be treated with the dignity & respect. Something this facility apparently knows nothing about. . Do yourselves a favor & send your loved ones elsewhere.

Nightmare Rehab Facility

I’m only posting this in hopes of saving someone the pain, stress , and anxiety of sending their loved one to this rehabilitation center. If you have another rehab option, take it! My family is lucky enough to live in the area and we were able to visit with my mother for most of the day. The things we saw, the lack of compassion and care is unimaginable. No place will be perfect but if you are afraid to leave your mother each night in fear of the care ( or lack there of) that she will receive, it’s horrible. The Therapy department was very knowledgeable , unfortunately most of the patient’s time is spent with nurses and aides and not the therapy staff. It has been such a weight off my shoulders once my mother was transferred to a different facility in the area. For the patient’s sake, I really hope this place can get their act together.

complete disregard for Human Decency or respect

This facility is the worst of the worst that I have ever seen. My father was transferred there to help regain strength after suffering from a congestive Heart Failure. My father is a WWII vet, 94 years old, and has been incontinent for several years, and is very subconscious about this, and does not like to go in public because he is afraid to wet through his diapers. He was there for 2 weeks, and I was able to see him 6 of the 14 days, every time I was there, he was sitting in a puddle of his own urine, in soaking wet pants. He kept telling me I have to get out of here, and of course you have to wait for the social workers and doctors to release him, and we finally demanded it. They did more harm than good to my father who is also suffering from Hodgkins Lymphoma and is so weak cannot have Chemotherapy. I would not send my worst enemy to this place. The nurses all talk a good game when visitors are present, but when someone is not there, they are no where to be found, and the aides on average do not respond to the buzzer for about 20 minutes. I timed it one day I was there. Just horrible. The website pictures are so old, the facility is such bad shape. The bathrooms in the individual rooms are not current building code. If a wheelchair is needed in the bathroom, there is no room for someone to be able to assist that person in the wheelchair onto the toilet. You essentially have to straddle the toilet to try to pick the person up on the wheelchair and get him turned around to sit on the toilet with you standing over it. Just not sure how this place even has a license. My father is a Parkinsons patient and has dopamine 3 times a day. The doctors orders there had him prescribed the medicine to be taken at mealtime. All doctors know that dopamine binds to protein and should not be given at least 1 hour from consuming protein. And to top it off, they were also giving him a dose or liquid protein with the dopamine. We stopped that but this went on for 4 days before we realized what the hell they were doing and were wondering why he was so damned confused, and hallucinating more than ever before. I can't even give this place a rating of 1. The OT therapists and PT therapists seemed to be ok, even though I did sit in on one of his OT sessions, and there were several patients in the room with him, and some of the Therapists were too busy talking/gossiping with the other therapists and essentially did nothing with their patient the entire time. This place is about billing medicare only, and NOT taking care of your loved ones. Please heed this warning, and DO NOT send anyone you know to this facility.
