Majestic Gardens at Memphis

Overall, we had a great experience!

The staff care seems okay. My loved one hasn't been complaining and she's not one to stay quiet. Everybody's great. They are really nice. It's cleaner than most places I've seen. It doesn't smell. I don't know what they're doing. I'm trying to contact them and figure that out. I was supposed to have a care plan meeting with them and they never showed up. They did call me later to reschedule.

It has been pretty good! He had some concerns about his breakfast. I did address this with the director. They said they would get right on top of this.

Some are good and some are not good. I saw a young lady from therapy and worked with my mom for 30 minutes. She is coming a long way and starting to walk now. I get information from my mom. The director called me personally.

07/17/2019 4 The rehab therapists were wonderful to me. I loved them. Some of the certified nurses were mean. The housekeeping people were really nice. The nurses and doctors are nice. They kept my room clean. The food was okay. They communicated with me.

Majestic is good, he is satisfied! It is pretty clean. He has not complained about the meals. Communication has been difficult at times when I try to call the facility. It is kind of hard to get an answer. I believe this is because they are so low on man power.

Overall, we had a great experience. They could use a little more therapy. The services are good but more would help. The nurses really could use a little more of everything.

They are very sweet to her and talk to her. They fussed with her and she was needing help. They do not mistreat her. It is sad. They are helping her. The social worker was only there one time. Some are friendly and some are not. The woman who brings her food tray is friendly and helps her. She said her room is clean. There is a man who enters her room from time to time. That does not bother her. She said the meals are good.

My mother is doing better because of their rehab therapy. The staff care is good, but she sometimes has problems with getting help, and medication. The nurses have been good so far. They're not cleaning up as much as they could. They have her eat a little early, like at 7 pm, and she's a bit hungry at night. She did say the cook can't cook. I haven't spoken to anyone about her. They did tell me they'll call me on Thursday but other than that no one's been talking to me at all.

Our experience at Majestic Gardens was less than majestic.

They lost his clothes. They were labeled, and I never got them back. The rehab therapists were really working with him. The wound care specialist was good. The night staff was not good at all. He wasn't monitored enough. They had a lot of sandwiches and had the same thing for lunch and dinner. They are understaffed in their dietitian department. The only time they communicated with me was when he had an incident. The admissions person did not contact me.

Quite a few of the staff is friendly. There is a lack of care from the nurses. Doctor orders are not being followed through by them. The facility is pretty clean. She has been eating all of her meals. So, that is good to see.

It is a very nice and clean place. They have not contacted me yet. I could use more communication with them.

Overall, it's a very nice place. The media shows some nursing homes in bad conditions, and this one is very nice. I've had to call several times for information. My brother has had to ask about his medication. The evening nurse and the nurses assistant is very nice. He is particular when it comes to meals but he didn't complain about any in particular here.

My cousin is happy. He says the staff is nice and the place is clean. I felt that everything was ran well.

Overall, everything was good. I did have an issue with the communication. No one called or told me anything and when I got the information it was because I went in and asked.

Overall, my loved one is showing improvement with the therapy. There's been some delay in getting the medication, but that seems to be ironed out. The administrative staff is very positive. The CNAs have a tough job. The meals are not appealing and are dried out. I wish I would get updates from the staff rather than him.

My mom said the rehab was good and they would call me with updates. Everyone there is very friendly. It is an older building and my mom said the food isn't great. We had a meeting and it was a little disorganized. I do wish they would talk to me instead of me having to hear updates from my mom.

We discharged early and that is all I have to say.

When we first got there, they showed me and my mother love. She likes the rehab therapy and is doing better. The nursing care is pretty good and the staff was respectful, good and attentive to the patients. The place has been clean and has a fresh scent! I have not been there during the meals but my mother has not said anything wrong. I really like how they communicate well.
