For several years running, my family relied on the staff at Maile Aloha to take care on our mom, [name removed], so her family care-givers could take a two week vacation away from her care. [name removed] and her staff went far out of their way to schedule [name removed] to fit into our scheduled trip out of San Diego. We were so impressed that when [name removed] needed a longer period of care, we didn't hesitate to call our friends at Maile Aloha. Again they made fast arrangements to place her in a private room, with a shared bathroom, exactly to our needs. When the temperatures that summer became difficult for [name removed] to endure, [name removed] and the staff agreed to let us place an air conditioner in [name removed]bedroom window to give her the respite from the heat she asked for, Even when [name removed] wasn't in their care, we relied on then to acquire assistive equipment and little of no cost to fill [name removed] changing needs. If and/or when the family needs a caring and empathetic care for other family members, we will turn to Maile Aloha again.... Read more

My mother was diagnosed with probable Alzheimer’s in 2008. In 2019 when we could no longer care for her in her home I drove to 17 different Board & Cares around San Diego County. On May 1st we moved her into Maile Aloha and have been so glad we did. When the Covid Pandemic hit in 2020 their staff went above and beyond to keep all their residents safe since they are among the most vulnerable in the population here. We feel truly blessed to have found them.

Both my husband and I feel very comfortable with moving my mother-in-law [Removed] to Maile Aloha from a much larger facility. The Director,[Removed], and her wonderful staff have taken a genuine interest in the care and well-being of Mary, and are very diligent in contacting us regarding any needs or considerations that arise. It's also very nice to receive the pictures and videos from them. We highly recommend Maile Aloha, and feel very fortunate to have our loved one being so well cared for in such a pleasant place.

We were only here a few weeks. The owner and her staff were very personable and caring. Her place was also very clean.
