The place is way understaffed. A nurse will be working on something with you, then get called away and take off with no indication when they will be back. They have little in way of functional equipment. Even their blood pressure cuffs didn't work. So they use the prior day's reading or just stop taking vitas The aids did not wear gloves when handling food, personal items or assisting me. Some of them had visibly dirty hands. I wonder if they get any training at all? The food was horrible. Everything was cooked to death and tasteless. Huge, inedible portions. Therapy was hit and miss. About 20 minutes a day. Occupational was somewhat helpful; physical got me walking a bit more. I wanted to work out some in the equipment room, but patients are not allowed in there without a PT present. There is huge miscommunication between nurses, aides, staff and physicians. The Genesis people do not bother reading the doctor's orders or discharge instructions, or they don't follow them.
