My Mother has lived there for 3yrs. Now and has had nothing but horrible things to say about their onsite Staff, Maintenance Staff. How their not a Handicap Accessible Appointments. The Community sits on a Steep Hill hard for certain Seniors w/various disabilities to walk/climb to either get their mail, take out their trash, bring groceries from vehicles, Coin Landry, distance from assigned parking. They don’t even offer any type of Assistance from: transportation. Rent was affordable w/the help of Sec.8 Senior Living and her portion was $900 for a One BR One Bath ok size For one person. Didn’t like the Electric Stove nor that it was on the second floor, made moving difficult plus there was no Elevator for those Seniors who have many handicaps and disabilities and then to found out there are three levels oh ?? heck NO ??.... she’s now in a Two BR One Bath First Level near Landry Area and a little bit closer to Trash Area. Her portion started off at $1200 utilities not included w/private balcony. Every 6mos. Lease is renewed and raise $50 to $60 pending apartment size. She now pays close to $1500 and her only income is SSI What left from her retirement and 401k and that’s not much. If only there was a place or community for Senior w/a fixed income, and low income for Independent, and Assistant Living In Redlands, Mentone, Loma Linda, Highland Ca. Seniors of all ages already struggling financially, medically, dentally, food, utilities, transportation w/out vehicles ??, moving cost, help moving. At the end this place is not worth it concerning price w/out financial assistance no handicap Units except for ground level units at a cost. Staff sucks not even close to a public transportation. It’s difficult for many Seniors who worked hard their entire life to at one point had almost everything before life happened, government, laws passed, health, medical/med. bills along w/perception cost, dental coverage, retirement age went up to 65 when it was 50-55 not even seniors who are 65 and older that I know of are still working because of the cost of living rather you rent or own.
