Warm and Inviting

We struggled to find the right place for our 95-year-old mom. Once we visited with [name removed], we knew it was the best place to move mom into. The home is beautiful, warm, clean and with very inviting outdoor space. The staff is welcoming, and respectful and they treat residents with the dignity they deserve. I would highly recommend this facility and trust that your loved one would find it as caring as my family did.... Read more

About the facility Laurelhurst Assisted Living

In Texas, there are several different types of Assisted Living Facilities. With so many options, it can be overwhelming. It is important to consider where mom and dad may thrive the most in their golden years. At Laurelhurst, we are considered a small assisted living. We are licensed and regulated by the State of Texas.

A small assisted living is a facility where the maximum amount of residents is six. This means that the staff to senior ratio is kept small. Residents are able to receive the upmost and personal care in this type of setting. A small assisted living also allows seniors to feel at home, because in truth, it is a home. Laurelhurst is located in a neighborhood, in a house that has been tailored for the needs of it's seniors, with a backyard and lots of room to stretch out.

With our low occupancy, we are able to work closely with our seniors' doctors and care teams to ensure that each senior is receiving personalized care that is custom-fit to their changing needs. Healthcare is not "one-size fit all" and that is even more true when it comes to the healthcare of seniors.

Laurelhurst Assisted Living

Laurelhurst Assisted Living has provided excellent care and comfort for my 98-year-old mother. I was concerned about moving my mother into an institution as her dementia and care needs progressed. At Laurelhurst she receives professional care and attention in a family home environment. It is a beautiful home, in a neighborhood not far from my own. My mother has a spacious, comfortable, private room which is kept impeccably clean like the rest of the house. The outdoor spaces are also lovely with well-kept gardens and comfortable front and back porches. [name removed] and [name removed], and the additional caretakers are professional, courteous, and communicative. Medications are monitored and I am kept informed on all matters concerning my Mom’s health. Homemade meals are prepared and served in a community setting like a family. I would certainly recommend Laurelhurst to anyone needing care for their elderly relative.

Great place, owner was gracious and accommodating, but private room was not available and too expensive, one shared room available but had limited space in corner and I know my Mom would feel confined.
