My mother has been there for almost three years. I have no complaints, but, more importantly, my mother has no complaints. The other day she asked me to promise she would never go anywhere else. She has no appetite, but she loves the meals so much that she eats (she actually raves about the meals). She can even get a peanut butter sandwich and milk if she wants it. Every time I visit (often) her room is clean and bedside water is fresh and cold. The facility is very nicely furnished and smells good (important in a nursing home). There are lots of activities everyday. Her medical needs are well attended to. I would recommend Landmark, and have recommended it to friends.... Read more

HORRIBLE! Residents will stay in soiled diapers for hours. When they turn on their light for help expect at least a 2 hour wait. As I was leaving I had to help a resident to get back to her room in a wheelchair bc she couldnt go any further and had waited in hallway for help that never came. The weekends are even worse with that same resident stating its a hell hole come Friday evening. So sad. The meals are disgusting and cold. One meal was literally a piece of lunchmeat ham with some carrots and a roll. Probably a fruit cup too. They deserve so much better.

Don't put your parent there. They barely make rounds and I always found my mother with a wet diaper and clothes that I had to change. They appear understaffed. The nurses appear to last only a couple of months and then you never see them again. My mother was hospitalized 3 times in a couple of months and went in with no health problems except mild dementia. The last two times were for dehydration according to her lab values. She eventually died. Right now I'm still waiting on the money she had left in her patient fund account. It's been just under 4 months and I still haven't gotten her excess money. I signed paperwork indicating she had excess, but they don't seem to get around to send it to me. I could go on and on about no activities, never putting her on oxygen even when it was ordered, Horrible place.

A Place for Mom has scored Landmark of Baton Rouge 1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
