Kristal Bell Assisted Living

We loved this community. The community has sermons playing on the tv and spiritual music playing as well. They even bring in outside entertainment in for the residents. This is a smaller community and more individualized care for the residents. They allow the family to stop by and see our loved one. My loved one is happier here than at the prior community they were at. The communication with the staff is good.

My mother suffered a severe stroke at this facility in [date removed] and the care she received from the staff was insensitive, disrespectful, and negligent. This facility was not prepared to provide the level of care she needed although they claimed to be very experienced in end of life care. My sister and I spent four sleepless nights providing comfort care (e.g turning her, changing soiled bed clothes etc.) since none of the staff was available to do this between the hours of 9pm to 8 am. In fact, we saw no sign of any staff members during this time period. We finally succeeded in convincing the other family members to move her home and have hospice assist us in her care until she passed away. My concerns regarding my mother’s care were met by the staff with dismissal and even a level of hostility. The decision to place her in the facility in [date removed] was made by other family members who gave assurances that this facility was well run. In retrospect, she should have been moved to a hospice facility or home hospice care after her stroke. I am still grieving from this experience.

When we first went into the place, I felt very welcomed. It was beautifully decorated and it felt like a home. For the most part, the people were very loving and caring. My main concern was that at night they were not very responsive. Sometimes she would get the help she needed and other times there was no one there. Overall though, I felt like she was in very good hands.

the best place ever. my mother could not have received better care anywhere else. i was very luckie to find this place and these people. have recommended them at every chance. if you are looking for assisted living for a loved one,do yourself a favor and choose this kristal bell. i know i rested better knowing my mother was there.

They are the most caring, courteous, friendly caregivers I have met or dealt with. I moved my parents there after they had been in another group home. The difference is night and day! The caregivers and owners of Kristal Bell are there for the residents, not the money. They have a very loving, christian care for their residents.
